Lumia Camera app is now compatible with non-Lumia handsets. The app will run on any Windows 8.1 device and was tested on Huawei Ascend W1 and the Samsung ATIV SE.
Apparently Motorola is planning to launch not one but two new handsets on Verizon this year. They are expected to be the DROID Maxx 2 and the DROID Turbo 2. The former is expected to be a mid-range device that is said to be a rebranded version of the Moto X Play.

Xiaomi is all set to enter the African market in September, according to a report from Forbes. It has partnered with pan-Africa distributor, Mobile in Africa Limited to sell its smartphones in 50 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, said the report citing the distributor’s president, tech entrepreneur RJ van Spaandonk.

Xiaomi smartphone codenamed Libra with 1.44GHz Hexa-Core Snapdragon 808 (MSM8992) SoC and Android 5.1.1 surfaced last month on Geekbench. Microsoft has updated Outlook app for iOS with a deeper intergration with Office documents. The latest update adds the ability to easily open and edit Office documents in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
YU is all set to launch its first power bank soon. According to import details from Zauba, YU has imported 5000 units of its 10000mAh power bank codenamed YUAPB1000 from China to India on August 19th. The power bank is expected to come with a catchy name, similar to the YU series smartphones.
