LG DoublePlay with Dual Touch Screen Displays announced for T-Mobile

LG and T-Mobile has announced an unique phone, LG DoublePlay with dual touch screen displays and split QWERTY keyboard. The phone has 3.5-inch main display and 2.0-inch sub display as well as a full slide-out split QWERTY keyboard and Swype. This would let you multitask easily by working on the 2 screens simultaneously. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and it is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. MTS launches International Roaming services and Dual Mode SIM card


MTS has launched International Roaming services for its prepaid subscribers enabling them to roam across 433 GSM networks in 231 countries. They have also launched a dual mode SIM card which would work both on GSM handsets while abroad and on OMH CDMA handsets while in India. MTS becomes the first telecom operator in the country to provide international data roaming for CDMA prepaid customers. Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy S2 sales cross 30 million

The combined sales of Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy S2 has crossed 30 million globally. The Samsung Galaxy S2 sales crossed 10 million this September which is quicker than any device in Samsung’s history, since its launch 5 month ago. The phone was launched in Korea this April and later launched in other Asian and European countries Worldwide. 1 million units of Galaxy S2 were sold in Korea in the first 30 days. Nokia X1-01 Dual SIM Music Phone Review

Samsung seeks to stop iPhone 4S sales in Japan, Australia


Samsung has filed preliminary injunction in the Tokyo District Court, Japan and in the New South Wales Registry, Australia to stop the sales of Apple’s iPhone 4S. This ban is regarding to the infringements on HSPA standard related patent and 3 user interface patent in Japan and infringements related to wireless telecommunications standards such as WCDMA and HSPA in Australia. Pulse , the popular news reader app now allows users to sync their current state across devices and platforms (barring Windows Phone). The syncing feature is currently supported on iOS and Android but is expected to make its way to the recently launched Windows Phone app as well.

Nokia 710 spotted over at Nokia Developer

My Nokia Blog reports that a Nokia 710 was spotted over at Nokia Developer earlier today. The phone sports specifications which are very similar to those suggested for Mango devices. Interestingly the OS is named as Maemo Internet Tablet 2008 but that is obviously meant to cover up the presence of Windows Phone 7 on the hardware.

Siri comes to the iPhone 4

Just a few days into the iPhone 5 4S release and iOS 5 roll out  , a group of enterprising ‘hackers’ have already begun preliminary work on porting Siri to the iPhone 4. Understandably it is still early days for the process as the phone can be seen to be pretty sluggish with Siri onboard.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA Ray is one of the most intriguing smartphone I have ever used. This phone goes against the current trend of expensive larger screen smartphones with high-specs or small and fat smartphones with low-specs. So I found it refreshing when Sony Ericsson announced the XPERIA Ray, a small screen smartphone with a reasonably high specifications.
