Motorola Mobility has announced a new entry level flip phone GLEAM+, successor of Motorola GLEAM that was launched last year. The new GLEAM+ is 13.5mm thick which is 0.4mm thinner than the GLEAM. MTS launches Super Zero prepaid on-net voice plans

MTS has launched MTS Super Zero for its pre-paid subscribers across India. This would let MTS customers make unlimited on-net (MTS to MTS) local and national calls for zero paise per day. There are also weekly and monthly packs up to Rs. 147 that would offer 2.4 lakh seconds local and national on-net calls. These plans also offer 200 free local and National within MTS network. The Foursquare for iPhone has been updated to version 4.2 that also brings improved handling of duplicate venues. Motorola RAZR price drops to Rs. 29990


Motorola RAZR is now available in India for Rs. 29,990. The phone was launched in India last November for Rs. 33,990.It is just  7.1 mm thick and has KEVLAR fiber at the back. It features 4.3-inch (960 x 540 pixels) Super AMOLED hyper-vibrant display and it is powered by 1.2 GHz dual core processor and runs on Android Gingerbread 2.3.5. Samsung not hosting Press Conference at MWC 2012

Samsung which is known for it’s grand press conferences at MWC or Mobile World Congress is not hosting any such event this year , not sure why. Sascha Segan from PCMag has learnt from Samsung that they are not hosting any press conference this year during MWC.Samsung is not pulling out of the event. They have a presence at AppPlanet and a hopefully a booth with those shiny devices and pretty girls.

Nokia moves device assembly to factories in Asia to improve time to market


Handset maker Nokia is moving its device assembly to it’s factories in Asia in a strategic move to improve time to market for it’s products. The 3 factories Komarom, Hungary, Reynosa, Mexico and Salo, Finland will no longer assemble devices but will only offer smartphone product customization aimed at customers in Europe and the Americas.Such a move is not surprising as a major portion of all electronic goods are manufactured in Asia due to lower costs and close proximity to component suppliers.
