Apple releases iOS 6.1 for iPhone , iPod touch and iPad

Apple has just released the iOS 6.1 software update for the iPhone , iPad and iPod touch. The update just showed up on my iPhone 5 and was about 100MB in size. It looks like an update to fix a lot of bugs.

The update brings support for more LTE carriers for the iPhone 5 and cellular versions of the iPad and iPad mini. This includes 36 additional iPhone carriers and 23 additional iPad carriers around the world.

One nice addition (US only ) is the ability to purchase movie tickets using Siri on Fandango.

Another noteworthy update is for iTunes match subscribers who can now download individual songs from iCloud.Hope battery life and WiFi issues which many users have been complaining about are addressed in this update.

The update is available for  iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad (3rd and 4th generation), iPad mini, iPad 2 and iPod touch (4th and 5thgeneration).
