Nokia has just announced the Nokia 220, the company’s latest affordable phone that starts at just 29 Euros or around Rs. 2,500. It also comes in a dual SIM variant, the Nokia 220 Dual SIM. It has a 2.4-inch (320 x 240 pixel) LCD screen and also has a T9 keypad. It has a 2-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera and 2G support. It has Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0, FM Radio, Flashlight and a 1100 mAh battery.

Qualcomm has just announced the Snapdragon 610 and 615 Chipsets in their Snapdragon 600 lineup. Both these chips have LTE support,including LTE Dual SIM Dual Active (DSDA) capabilities and are based on ARM Cortex A53 cores and 64-bit ARMv8 CPU support. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 is an octa-core chip with 8 ARM Cortex A53 and the Snapdragon 610 is a quad-core chip. Both these have Adreno 405 GPU, unlike the Snapdragon 410 that has a Adreno 305 GPU. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It comes with dual SIM support and is 9.95mm thick.

LG G Pro 2 is the latest flagship from the company is mainly aimed to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 and other high end phablets. MediaTek has just announced the 64-bit LTE SOC MT6732 at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, as rumored. It has a 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 CPU and Mali-T760 GPU for powerful LTE smartphone aimed at mid-range segment. The company unveiled the MT6595 Octa-Core chip with built-in 4G LTE earlier this month. Mozilla has annonuced new developer reference smartphone and tablets at the Mobile World Congress. These include a 4.5″ dual-core reference phone called Firefox OS Flame, 7-inch VIA Vixen tablet and a 10-inch Foxconn InFocus tablet. It has also announced new Firefox OS PhoneGap mobile application development framework integration, that lets PhoneGap developers to port their existing apps to Firefox OS in a matter of hours.
