Karbonn TA-FONE A34 HD, successor of the TA-FONE A34 is on sale from online retailer Saholic. This has a 7-inch (1024 x 600  pixels) capacitive touch screen display. Other features remain the same including a 1GHz single-core processor and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 2G support, voice calling and SMS through dual SIM card slots. It has a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. The Karbonn TA-FONE A37 HD is also listed on the official website, which is expected soon. Sasmung launched Galaxy S4 in India at the end of April. It released accessories for the device including the Flip Case and the Side View Cover last month. Now the Wireless Charging Cover and Wireless Charging Pad have been priced on the official Samsung eStore.These accessories have also been unveiled yesterday in the U.S. If you already have a Wireless Charging pad, you can get the Charging Cover separately and replace it with the original back cover. It charges wirelessly via electromagnetic field that follow the Qi standard, the global standard for wireless power. The Wireless Charging Kit (Pad + Cover) also comes as a bundle. The reminders feature brings 3 features in 1 such as reminder alarms, set Note based to-dos to Mark notes as done, pin a note to order reminder manually or by date. You can tap the alarm clock inside a note, optionally, choose a due date and time to set reminders. You can also view reminders by notebook and subscribe to reminders in shared and business notebooks. Evernote for iPhone and iPad got reminders in the version 5.3 update last month. Facebook has updated the Facebook Home app for Android that brings a favorites tray that shows a row of apps at the bottom of every screen in the app launcher. You press and hold the app icon you want to move and drag it in or out of the favorites tray. You can also rearrange the placement of the apps within the favorites tray. Samsung has started rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy S4 starting from Germany that brings lots of new features such as option to move apps to the SD card, HDR video recording, Semi-transparent status bar, new Smart Pause toggle in the notification, New camera firmware and lots more. Samsung released the first update for the Exynos version of the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500) last month that brought stability improvements. The new update is rolling out for the Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) in Germany, but Sammobile says the update would also be available for the Exynos-powered Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500). Twitter for Windows Phone has been updated to version 3.1 that brings filter for photos finally that lets you apply different filter when you upload a photo. It also brings Lens app integration that lets you launch the capture and upload photo on Twitter directly, option to play embedded Vine videos directly from within tweets and lots more. The official Twitter app for Android and iPhone got the filters back in December last year. Twitter for Windows Phone got a new design earlier this year. Reliance Jio signs Rs. 12000 crore Tower deal with RCom for 4G roll out

Reliance Jio Infocomm  and Reliance Communications (RCom) has announced a Rs. 12,000 crore (Over US$ 2 Billion) deal for sharing of RCOM’s nationwide telecom towers infrastructure. This would let Reliance Jio Infocomm utilize up to 45,000 ground and rooftop based towers across RCOM’s nationwide network for its 4G roll out. Sony Mobile has started sending invites for a press event in Germany on 25th. The German translation says “Looking for More?” “It is time for the next step. On Tuesday, the 25th June 2013 15:00 we take a first look at the future together.” “More details will follow soon.” We don’t anything more than that, so we can only speculate on what the company will unveil at the event. It might be the Togari with a 6.4-inch 1080p display, or the Honami the rumored Cyber-shot camera phone or a completely new device. Samsung beats Apple’s US Smartphone marketshare says Canaccord Genuity

Investment research firm, Canaccord Genuity, has surveyed retail stores of all the four major US carriers and has come to the conclusion that Samsung’s trio of Galaxy S3, S4 and the Note II outsold Apple’s handset in May.

Who are the top five smartphone makers in the world? Samsung and Apple would be anyone’s guess. Evidently, because of their dominant presence in the market and ever rising sale figures. LG follows next in ranking. Who do you reckon follows in the 4th spot? Blackberry, Nokia or HTC? Well, its Huawei. The Chinese telecom company is the fourth largest smartphone maker in the world, by units !

Yet, why is it that you and I rarely see a Huawei phone in Indian stores, when shopping for the latest smartphone ? Why is it that the 4th biggest smartphone maker is not visible in one of world’s biggest smartphone market? Huawei hopes to change this brand image, soon. Starting this month, Huawei will begin introducing its star smartphones and tablets, in India. The Chinese phone maker has slotted a bunch of big launches in the next quarter, too.

First up is the Huawei Media Pad 10 Link that was launched in India recently. A 10.1 inch screen tablet priced at just Rupees 24,990/- . The Media Pad 10 runs on 1.2 GHz Quad Core Huawei Hi-Silicon Processor. Operating system is the Android 4.1.
