Gionee has already confirmed that the Elife E7 would launch on November 26th at an event in Shanghai Film Museum in China. Now Gionee’s CEO Lu Weibing has shared on his Weibo page that the phone would feature a faster Qualcomm 8974AC quad-core chip clocked at 2.5 GHz, faster than the 8974AB chip. Even the Xiaomi Mi3 that was unveiled back in September features a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM 8974AB) processor, so the Elife E7 would be the first phone to feature the Snapdragon 800 (8974AC) chip. Jolla’s Sailfish based smartphone to go on sale on 27th November in Helsinki

YotaPhone with Dual 4.3-inch LCD and e-Ink screens launching Internationally in December

YotaPhone from Russia-based Yota Devices is finally launching in December 2013. The company confirmed that the phone would launch next month, and TechCrunch is reporting that it would be available internationally. The company showed off the phone with dual screens at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona earlier this year. It packs hefty specifications including a 4.3-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) LCD capacitive multi touch main screen and a 4.3-inch (360×640 pixels)  E-Ink rear screen. Xolo Play was the first phone from the Indian manufacturer to sport a decent build quality and the Tegra 3 processor. Videocon VT85C with 7-inch display, 3G and voice calling launched for Rs. 8999


Videocon has launched VT85C, the company’s latest tablet with voice calling capabilities. It appeared on the official website earlier this week, and has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It  comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It has a SIM card slot for 3G connectivity and a ear piece for voice calling. It also comes with range of pre-loaded applications including Facebook, OperaMini, NQ Mobile Security, Vstore, Hungama and more. The Moto G announcement last evening was a pleasant surprise where the erstwhile smartphone giant showed off a compelling new entry level product. The Moto G brings mid range specifications coupled with solid build quality and Motorola’s reliability at an unprecedented price point. Facebook started rolling out an updated Messenger app for Android with a new design and a faster experience few weeks back for select users, now the iPhone has been updated to a new version that brings a similar design. This version has also been updated for iOS7 with custom in-app sounds. The startup time and overall speed and performance have also be improved. My Talking Tom now available on iOS, Android and Windows Phone

Talking Tom, the insanely popular app that kids loved, has now got its own “My Talking Tom” app that lets your pet and grow Tom the cat, hence validating the name. The previous versions only involved playing around with the cat which talks back to you in a hilarious voice but now it’s more of a pet simulation like Kinectimals where a kitten grows into your own cat, with lots of customization options to make it personal. The phone is powered by a powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 (APQ8064) processor clocked at 1.7 GHz with Adreno 320 GPU and pack 2GB of RAM. Motorola Moto G India Launch in early Jan 2014

Motorola just officially announced the Moto G at an event in Sao Paulo in Brazil and also holding a satellite event in London where we should be getting our hands on the Moto G shortly. The company has also confirmed that the Moto G is indeed coming to India as soon as January 2014. The device is priced at an aggressive $179 price  for a 8GB unlocked version in the US without any contract of any sort. The 16GB version costs just $20 more at  $199. The India pricing is not yet available but we expect it to be announced closer to launch and hopefully under Rs.12500 which is probably one of the cheapest Android phones from an international handset maker.
