Samsung launched the Galaxy S4 zoom last year, to place their bets on the cameraphone market. It didn’t work out so well, as the S4 zoom was basically two devices slapped on together. The sequel announced this year, the Galaxy K zoom, is visibly better, with a slimmer profile and a lens unit that is more pocketable. The megapixels are higher and the phone itself gets a decent spec boost, but does Samsung get the formula right this time? Or is the company going to need a third time lucky? Samsung has launched the Galaxy S5 4G+ in Singapore. It is a variant of the Galaxy S5 broadband LTE-A that was launched in Korea in June. It is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor and has LTE-A support up to 300 Mbps. Other specifications are similar to the global Galaxy S5 variants, including a 5.1-inch 1080p display, 2GB RAM, 16GB of storage with expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD and a 2800 mAh battery. Panasonic introduces new Qi-enabled wireless charging pad and portable chargers

Panasonic has launched three new Qi-enabled charging products in the U.S.. This includes 5,300mAh and 2,650mAh Qi portable chargers and a Qi wireless charging pad. These chargers are compatible with iPhone, other smartphones and tablets. These can be charged via USB or the Qi wireless charging pad, since these are Qi-enabled. ZTE has launched the nubia 5S mini smartphone in the U.S. It is calling the smartphone nubia 5S mini LTE in the country. It was first launched in China back in November last year and packs a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels)  IGZO display. The U.S variant is  powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean), compared to Snapdragon 600 processor in the Chinese variant. The One Touch Hero was unveiled at IFA last year and packs a 6-inch 1080p display, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).
