The watches can report up to 20 health metrics across six major physiological systems and support 11 health-study evaluation results, including coronary heart disease risk and PCOS risk. The Watch 6 is also the first HUAWEI wearable to support Hyperuricemia Research. Consistent wear for 3–7 days is required for the relevant assessment.

Supported research areas include:

  • Hyperuricemia
  • Blood sugar health
  • Vascular health
  • Hypertension risk

Three health-related software tools are registered as Class II medical devices with China’s NMPA:

  • ECG Analysis Notification Software
  • Pulse Wave Atrial Fibrillation and Premature Beat Notification Software
  • Sleep Apnea Screening Software
Health insights and daily tracking

Health Insights and Body Readiness provide information about physical recovery and daily condition. The watches also track diet, sleep, exercise and stress or mood management as part of their daily health goals.

An AI model analyzes health and activity data, including diet, daily behavior, sleep and workout metrics, to identify trends and provide recommendations. HUAWEI Health services include three months of membership covering workout training, diet management, sleep improvement and stress or mood regulation.

HarmonyOS 7.0 and Celia

HarmonyOS 7.0 brings Celia voice assistance to both watches. Users can issue voice commands for tasks such as controlling home appliances, setting medication reminders, translating conversations, navigating to locations, topping up mobile credit and getting information.

Celia can also answer questions about workout suitability and sleep analysis, while converting complex textual information into visual charts. Celia Suggestions can provide traffic information and schedule reminders, with task management syncing with Huawei smartphones.

Both watches support wrist gestures for muting incoming calls and double-tapping fingers to answer calls or expand Live View windows.
