HUAWEI has introduced HarmonyOS 7 in its home market with spatial computing features, AI agents, performance improvements, cross-device tools, accessibility features, and system-level anti-fraud protection.
Harmony Spatial Computing
HarmonyOS 7 adds spatial effects across the interface. Immersive Light Sensing creates light and shadow trails as icons move, while dismissed notifications turn into light-sensitive particles. Tapping, pressing, dragging, and swiping receive haptic and visual feedback.
Spatial camera movement creates a 3D visual field. Weather adds 3D perspectives to city landmarks, while Calendar elements such as snowmen and fallen leaves change with viewing angles. Other spatial features include:
- 3D Lock Screen: Adds depth effects to lock-screen elements.
- Spatial Clock: Places the time within the depth of background photos, including action shots, pets, and meals.
- Spatial Wallpaper: Changes perspective layers as users swipe.
- 3D Media: Supports dual-finger swipes and screen tilting to explore 3D environments.

HarmonyOS 7 adds 3D creation and exploration tools, including Remy for turning drone footage into 3D maps, V2Fun for creating 3D models from a single photo, Dianping for virtual store walkthroughs, and Huawei 3DGS for 3D product modeling on JD.com.
Harmony Intelligence and Celia
Harmony Intelligence combines the OS, AI and apps using cloud and on-device AI models, four-tier memory, app skills, system capabilities, agentic loops, multi-device collaboration, and security protocols.
Celia gets a redesigned home screen with a personalized home tab and sidebar for Celia Memory and Celia Claw. Its navigation bar turns copied passwords, codes, addresses, and cloud links into one-tap app actions and continuously translates foreign-language documents.
The Job Search Assistant optimizes resumes against job requirements, generates interview questions, polishes responses, and logs interview invitations with time, location, and notes in Memo. Parental controls monitor children’s eye fatigue and screen time, while voice commands can schedule app closures. Celia Claw manages supported smart-home devices and routines, including air conditioners, robot vacuums, and security cameras.
Other system-level agents cover parenting tasks, household routines such as pet feeding and vacuuming, and booking local services through automated phone calls.
HarmonyOS Apps Enter the Agent Era
Several Huawei apps gain AI-based agent capabilities:
- Petal Maps: Finds locations and creates itineraries from conversational prompts.
- Huawei Browser: Curates trending information and key points and provides long-form analysis.
- Huawei Music: Uses listening preferences for recommendations and creates playlists from one-sentence prompts.
- Huawei Video: Builds targeted watchlists across streaming networks and answers plot questions in real time.
- Huawei Reading: Creates book lists, chapter outlines, context answers, and interactive reading discussions.
- Huawei Themes: Filters styles and generates UI themes and font styles.
Performance and Ark Engine
The new Ark Engine uses AI models to shift resource allocation from passive response to proactive delivery. HUAWEI says overall device performance improves by up to 15%, while battery life increases by up to 36 minutes.
Key improvements include:
- Workplace clock-in speed: 22% faster
- High-frequency app smoothness: 22% higher
- Key app keep-alive rate: 34% higher
- Cross-app transition speed: 25% faster
Performance Mode provides one-tap acceleration for ticket grabbing, app switching, and full-screen bullet chat scrolling, with up to 25% higher performance than HarmonyOS 6, according to HUAWEI.

Super Spatial Memory adds up to 3GB of available running RAM compared with HarmonyOS 6, allowing more foreground and persistent background apps to remain active.
Super Spatial Storage frees additional usable space:
- 1TB: Up to 109GB
- 512GB: Up to 51GB
- 256GB: Up to 22GB
HUAWEI says a Mate 60 maintained 90% fluency after three years, compared with 100% when new.
Gaming Improvements
HarmonyOS 7 adds AI-based gaming optimizations through the Ark Scheduling Engine, AI Super Resolution, Intelligent HDR, and Intelligent Frame Stabilization.
- AI Super Resolution: Up to 1.5x clearer images than HarmonyOS 6.
- Intelligent HDR: Optimizes light and shadow details in sunsets, neon-lit cities, underwater tunnels, and snowy nights.
- Ark Scheduling Engine: Predicts workloads and dynamically allocates resources, improving long-session frame-rate stability by 40%.
- Intelligent Frame Stabilization: Maintains 60fps during extended sessions, with testing up to 3.5 hours.
HarmonyOS Star Shield Security
HarmonyOS Star Shield adds system-level AI protection against fraud across calls, messages, apps, family-targeted scams, AI-generated scripts, and malicious links.
- AI Voice Modification Detection: Analyzes calls in real time and warns about synthetic or modified voices.
- AI Foreign Call Forwarding Detection: Identifies domestic-looking calls originating from overseas fraudsters using chip-level detection and blocks unflagged unknown numbers.
- AI Risky Webpage Detection: Analyzes webpage content for fraudulent intent, including when URLs change.
- AI Scripted Fraud Prevention: Correlates risks across apps, such as unfamiliar calls, suspicious webpages, and payment transfers.
- AI Risky QR Code Detection: Identifies suspicious QR codes in webpages, flyers, and physical promotional materials and interrupts risky links.
HUAWEI says HarmonyOS 7 has received Level-5 security certification for telecom fraud prevention capabilities on mobile OS platforms.
AI Privacy Protection
The HarmonyOS Personal Intelligent Computing System (HPIC) creates a dedicated personal computing space in the cloud. Cloud-side AI processing follows the same security level as on-device processing, while isolated cloud computing helps prevent data leaks. Data is processed only for requested tasks and deleted immediately after use rather than stored persistently.
HarmonyOS Star Interconnection
HarmonyOS 7 adds Tap-to-Transfer tools for cross-device sharing:
- Multi-Person Sharing: Sends photos and videos to multiple devices with a tap.
- Encrypted Sharing: Flips a card on screen to encrypt and transfer confidential files.
- Game Sharing: Transfers game installation packages without mobile data or additional downloads.
- Point-and-Paste: Taps a phone at a specific point on a creation canvas to paste media.
- Remote Direct Transfer: Sends photos, videos, and files remotely in original quality without distance or format restrictions.

Harmony Galaxy Interconnection also adds Intimate Circle, which brings family and friends’ status updates, health metrics, and daily activities into one place.
Accessibility and Digital Asset Inheritance
Text Call provides real-time speech-to-text and text-to-speech during calls, with voice repair and AI voice synthesis for people with speech impairments. It can also help delivery riders communicate with customers.
Digital Asset Inheritance preserves data such as photo galleries and Memo notes. Designated beneficiaries can access it through real-name, multi-factor authentication, with cloud storage security applied.
Public Beta Availability
The first public beta of HarmonyOS 7 opens today, across supported smart TVs and screens, foldable smartphones, tablets, laptops, standard smartphones, and smartwatches.

For phones and tablets, users can check for updates under Settings > System & Updates > Software Update, while the company said additional supported models will gradually receive HarmonyOS upgrade notifications.
