The low mid range is decidedly a hard-fought battle between manufacturers. Here, on paper specifications win the consumer but most of the times, the results hardly match expectations. The Obi Hornbill costs Rs. 9,250 but has a 13 megapixel camera, which is hardly seen at this price. Samsung just launched the Galaxy Note Edge smartphone in India, after reports of it launching in the country next month. The Galaxy Note series from Samsung is well known for being the one that started the big screen movement. People used to be dismissive of the concept in 2011 when the original released, but since then, all the flagships have gradually increased screen sizes, with the latest iPhone sporting a 5.5 inch screen and a Nexus sporting a 6 inch screen. Earlier: Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Note Edge smartphone in India in January 2015 at a price tag of Rs. 68,500, according to a report from ET. The report says that it would retail for Rs. 64,900. Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 4 smartphone in India for Rs. 58300 back in October, which now retails for Rs. 57,000 on the official Samsung eStore.
