Swipe Technologies has launched the Swipe Ultimate, the company’s first Windows 8.1 tablet. It has a 10.1-inch (1280×800 pixels) IPS screen and is powered by an quad-core Intel Atom Z3735 processor. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with a magnetic keyboard that has a touchpad so that it can double up as a laptop.
Sharp develops ultra sharp 4.1 inch LCD display with 736ppi
Sharp has developed a new 4.1” IGZO LCD display with 736 pixels per inch (ppi). According to Sharp, its new display has the same pixel density as a 6-inch 4K display. The highest-resolution LCD panel that the company has so far developed is a low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) panel that has a resolution slightly lower than 550ppi.

Asus has launched Transformer Pad TF103 and Transformer Book T200 tablets in India. The Asus Transformer Pad TF103 is an Android tablet running Android 4.4 (KitKat) and the Transformer Book T200 is a portable Windows 8.1 tablet with a 11.6-inch screen that transforms into a laptop with a full-size keyboard dock. Asus also launched the Transformer Flip Book, a 15.6” laptop with 360-degree rotating touchscreen. Oculus VR mobile SDK available for developers
Oculus Rift has released the mobile software development kit (SDK) for Samsung’s Gear VR Innovation headset. The Gear VR is powered by the Oculus Mobile software and therefore comes with an official Mobile Software Development Kit that will encourage developers to prepare some apps for the new platform.
