LG Display has introduced a 5.5-inch QHD (Quad High Definition) IPS display panel for mobile devices. LG display has confirmed that the new Quad HD LCD panel will be unveiled with the forthcoming LG’s flagship smartphone to be launched at the end of the month. It is clear that the LG G4 scheduled to be unveiled on April 28th will use this display. Even the LG G3 used a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, but this will offer richer and more accurate colors with a 120 percent color gamut, compared to the 100 percent gamut that was present in the LG G3’s display , says LG Display. Microsoft has sent out invites for the launch of its new Lumia smartphone. The invite Lumia 640 with a tag line Inspiration doesn’t only work 9 to 5! Lumia 640 Dual SIM, Lumia 640 XL Dual SIM and Lumia 640 XL LTE Dual SIM are listed on the official Microsoft India website, so we can expect all these smartphones to launch next week. These smartphones were announced at the MWC last month.

The Galaxy Note 4 smartphone was launched in India running on Android 4.4 (KitKat) back in October last year. Micromax has announced that it will start rolling out Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for its Unite 2 A106 smartphone starting from April 7th. HTC has announced One M8s, a cheaper variant of the One M8 smartphone with the same all-metal unibody design and a 5-inch 1080p display. This is powered by a Snapdragon 615 64-bit Octa-Core SoC instead of Snapdragon 801 and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box with HTC Sense UI. Instead of HTC One M8’s Ultrapixel camera, this has a 13-megapixel rear camera, but it still has a Duo camera arrangement to capture depth information.
