Asus has announced Zenfone Selfie (ZD551KL), Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5 (ZE550KL), Zenfone 2 Laser 5.0 (ZE500KL) and Zenfone 2 Deluxe (ZE551ML) smartphones in India. These smartphones will launch at the ZenFestival 2015 in the country next week. Even though the company did not reveal any details about the launch of Zenfone Zoom and leaked Zenfone Go 5.0 (ZC500TG), these are also expected to launch at the event. ZTE has announced its V3 (mighty) series of smartphones – V3 Youth, V3 Energy and V3 Extreme in China. These smartphones have a 5.5-inch 1080p display, are powered by a an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC and run on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with nubia UI 3.0. These have 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 88-degree wide-angle lens with NeoVision 5.0 Camera UI. Sony Mobile sales down 16.3% YoY, 7.2 million smartphones shipped in Q1 FY15

Sony Corporation has reported its revenues for first quarter of the financial year 2015 that ended June 30, 2015. Sales remained flat at 1,808.1 billion yen ( US$ (14,820 million) with just 0.1% decease compared to the same quarter last year. Xiaomi has started rolling out global stable MIUI 6 update for the Redmi Note 3G smartphone. The Xiaomi Redmi 1S got the MIUI 6 update earlier this month. The company introduced MIUI 6, a major upgrade to MIUI ROM last year, but only few Mi devices run on the stable MIUI 6 ROM. The Redmi Note was launched in India back in July last year running on MIUI v5 based on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Airtel has launched its 4G LTE trial in Shillong, which becomes the first city in North East to get Airtel 4G in the country. It already launched 4G trials in Rourkela, Tumkur, Manipal, Udupi, Hubli, Dharwad, Delhi, Hyderabad, Vizag, Madurai, Chennai, Coimbatore and Mumbai. The OnePlus introduced to us and to an extent made us believe in their philosophy to ‘never settle’.
