Sony India has launched the new EXTRA BASS wireless speaker SRS-XB01 in India. It has a compact, rounded design, full range speaker unit on the front and passive radiator on the rear for a deep and punchy sound. It has a water-resistant body supported with IPX5 rating.
Amazon and BSNL today announced a partnership, under which select BSNL postpaid and broadband customers will get the Amazon Prime Membership for a year free of cost. Xiaomi has silently launched the Mi Compact Bluetooth Speaker 2 with a new mesh design in India. This looks like a cheaper version of the Mi Bluetooth Speaker Mini that was launched in India last year. It has a compact design measuring just 50 x 32mm and weighs just 54 grams.

Huawei’s Honor brand launched the Honor Play smartphone in India in Midnight Black and Navy Blue colors. Today the company has launched new Ultra Violet color variant in the country. Apart from the color, this has similar specifications, including a 6.3-inch Full HD+ 19:5:9 display with 89% screen-to-body ratio, Kirin 970 10nm processor, NPU as well as GPU Turbo graphics processing acceleration technology, 16-megapixel rear camera AI scene recognition and a 2-megapixel secondary rear camera.

Some Apple iPhone XS and XS Max users are reporting about their iPhones not charging automatically even after plugging in when the screen is off. Affected units require the screen to be on and re-plug in their cables for charging to begin. A majority of XS and XS Max models exhibit the problem. The certification reveals a 5.99-inch FHD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display without a notch, 2.2GHz Octa-Core SoC which could be Snapdragon 660 or 710, 6GB of RAM, 12-megapixel rear camera along with a 2-megapixel secondary camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. After certification, Huawei has officially announced the Y9 2019 smartphone. It has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a narrow chin and high screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Kirin 710 SoC with 6GB of RAM, and runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.2, similar to the Honor 8X but this has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 2-megapixel secondary camera to capture depth information in portrait shots and a 13-megapixel front camera along with a 2-megapixel front camera for portrait selfies, and both have AI photography features.
