HMD Global just announced the Nokia 8.1, Android One smartphone, which is the global version of the Nokia X7 mid-range smartphone that was introduced in China back in October. The successor of the most popular Nokia 7 Plus has a 6.18-inch Full HD+ 18.7:9 aspect ratio Puredisplay, DCI-P3 wide color gamut and HDR10 video playback, 86.5% screen to body ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 710 10nm Mobile Platform and runs Android 9.0 (Pie).
Honor smartphone with in-screen camera to be announced on January 22 in Paris, Honor View 20 expected

Huawei recently announced an event in China to unveil a smartphone with in-display camera on December 17. Now the company’s Honor brand has scheduled an event in Paris, France on January 22nd, 2019 to unveil a new smartphone with in-screen camera. After Enjoy 9 Plus announcement in October, Huawei is all set to introduce the Enjoy 9 (DUB-TL00 / DUB-AL00) smartphone in China soon. The phone has been certified by TENAA revealing a 6.26-inch HD+ display with Waterdrop notch Screen. powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 450 SoC with 4GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera with LED flash, secondary 2MP camera and a 8-megapixel front camera. It doesn’t reveal a fingerprint sensor, but it will likely come with support for face unlock.

Meizu EP52 Lite water-resistant wireless earphones and POP water-resistant wireless earbuds launched in India starting at Rs. 1999

Meizu, along with three smartphones, also launched the EP52 Lite water-resistant Bluetooth Earphones and Halo headset, which is a Bluetooth in-ear headset. The EP52 Lite earphones targeted at runners and outdoor users under the EP series. Since EP52 works over Bluetooth, it is completely wireless and at a mere 16 grams, these headphones are fairly lightweight as well. Considering these earphones are waterproof (IPX5), the earbuds feature a nano-coating that makes it sweat and waterproof.

Meizu just launched M6T, its latest smartphone in India. It packs a 5.7-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass screen with 18:9 aspect ratio, is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 processor and runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX278 RGBW sensor, LED flash, along with a 2-megapixel secondary rear camera to capture depth information for portrait shots and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It packs a 6-inch Full HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display from Samsung with 91.18% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to 1.43mm side bezels and 5.74mm chin, is powered by Snapdragon 845 with 8GB of RAM, has custom copper cooling tube and feature an in-display fingerprint sensor that has 99.12% high recognition rate that can unlock the phone in 0.25 seconds.
Apple iOS 12 is on 72% of devices from last four years

Apple has announced that 70% of eligible iPhones, iPod touch devices are running on iOS 12 as of December 3rd, 2018. The adoption rate is up 10% in just five weeks; as of October 29th, iOS 12 was installed on 63% on all eligible devices. Worldwide AR and VR headset market grew 9.4% YoY in Q3 2018: IDC

The combined AR and VR headset market grew 9.4% year over year in the Q3 2018, according to the IDC. The VR headset market returned to growth in Q3 2018 after four consecutive quarters of decline and now makes up 97% of the combined market.
