Kirin 985 5G 7nm Octa-Core SoC with Mali-G77 GPU, Dual NPU announced

HUAWEI’s HONOR brand at the HONOR 30series  launch event introduced Kirin 985 SoC that lies between the Kirin 980 and the 980 and powers the HONOR 30 smartphone . It uses 7nm processor technology, similar to the 990. This has one ARM Cortex-A76 prime core clocked at 2.58GHz, three ARM Cortex-A76 larger core clocked at 2.40GHz and the other four smaller ARM Cortex-A55 cores are clocked at 1.84GHz. Discovery Plus launches limited time annual subscription for Rs. 99 amid nationwide lockdown

Discovery Plus streaming service made its debut last month in India at an introductory price of Rs. 299/year. Less than a month since launch, the company has now launched a limited time annual subscription for Rs. 99 amid nationwide lockdown.

Nokia 9.3 PureView said to feature 120Hz refresh rate display, 108MP rear camera

 

The Nokia 9 PureView is  considered to be Nokia’s flagship and for 2020, nearly all flagships that have been released till now, feature high refresh rate displays. The Nokia 9.3, slated for release in Q4 2020, will apparently also follow the same trend and will likely feature a 120Hz screen, along with a 108MP camera.

Apple introduces new iPhone SE with 4.7-inch HD Retina Display, A13 Bionic, India price starts at Rs. 42500

Apple just announced the new iPhone SE, the company’s latest smaller iPhone, as rumored, and it is the successor of iPhone SE that was introduced back in 2016. It is powered by A13 Bionic chip that powers by iPhone 11, comes with 4.7-inch HD Retain screen with Haptic Touch and still retains the Touch ID fingerprint sensor below the display. Apple releases COVID-19 community mobility data for cities, regions and countries

Recently, Google released a tool that could track the mobility trends of people in communities, regions and cities from the data it aggregated from Maps. The data is useful for local governments and health authorities to track the spread of the virus and now, Apple has come out with their own Mobility trends report that is based on the data it processed from Apple Maps.

YouTube Music gets Explore Tab for easier music discovery

Google looks to be dedicated at making YouTube as its main music streaming service as it continues to push new updates to it. The latest change to the app is the removal of the “Hotlist” tab and replacing it with the “Explore” tab, aimed at improving music discovery for its users.

Nokia 8 Sirocco Android 10 update starts rolling out

HMD Global has started rolling out Android 10 update for the Nokia 8 Sirocco smartphone, which makes it the 11th Nokia phone to get the update after the Nokia 8.1, Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 2.2, Nokia 7.2, Nokia 3.2, and Nokia 4.2. It was launched back in 2018 running Android Oreo. Android 10 brings a number of additional privacy and security features for users, as well as Dark Theme, Focus mode, dedicated ‘Privacy section’, and lots more. Update 16th April 2020: The price of Galaxy Tab S6 Lite has been announced in various markets. The WiFi variant costs 379 euros (US$ 411 / Rs. 31,507) and the LTE variant costs 439 euros (US$ 476 / Rs. 36,495 approx.), and will be available starting April 30th, 202o in markets like Germany, Belgium, Russia, France, Italy. HONOR 30 Pro+ with 6.57-inch FHD+ 90Hz OLED waterfall screen, 50MP triple rear cameras, HONOR 30 Pro and HONOR 30 announced

HUAWEI’s HONOR brand today announced HONOR 30, HONOR 30 Pro and HONOR 30 Pro smartphones at an event in China. These have FHD+ OLED 70° curved screen with in-screen fingerprint scanner and a punch-hole camera, but only the Pro+ supports 90Hz waterfall screen. The HONOR 30 houses 32-megapixel camera and the HONOR 30 Pro and Pro+ also have an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera on the front. The HONOR 30 Pro and Pro + are powered by Kirin 990 5G SoC, while the HONOR 30 is powered by a new Kirin 985 7nm 5G  SoC that has slightly under clocked CPUs compared to the Kirin 990 and a Mali-G77 GPU, but retains the same ISP and dual NPU and Modem. MIUI 12 with refreshed Focus Mode, Refresh Rate UI, and more surfaces

Xiaomi introduced the MIUI 11, the company’s next major UI update back in September last year with several improvements and new features like the minimalistic design, customisable Ambient Display Presets, dynamic sound effects, and more. It is almost 7 months since launch and now, a new leak suggests that the company is working on the next UI update i.e., MIUI 12 and screenshots of the upcoming UI has surfaced.

OnePlus partners with Nokia for OZO Audio on OnePlus 8 Pro

OnePlus just announced its all-new OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones at an online event. Both smartphones pack flagship specifications and right after the event, Nokia has announced that OnePlus has collaborated with them to use the proprietary OZO Audio technology on OnePlus 8 Pro.
