Google Pixel 5a spotted in AOSP code as Pixel 4a goes official

Google has announced the Pixel 4a, which is the successor to the highly popular Pixel 3a that was released last year. Interestingly, just as we are greeted by the Pixel 4a announcement, Google is supposedly already working on the Pixel 5a as the phone was spotted in a newly released AOSP code change.

Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G are coming in late 2020, but will not launch in India

Google today introduced its Pixel 4a smartphone after several delays and also announced that it will be available in India in October. In addition, the company also confirmed its upcoming Pixel 4a 5G version which will be priced at $499 (Rs. 37,530 approx.) and Pixel 5 will be introduced this fall, which is around September or October. Microsoft in talks with ByteDance to purchase TikTok

In recent news, TikTok has been coming under fire by many governments across the world for it alleged data collection practices. As the US government is reportedly looking into banning the app, Microsoft has revealed that they are in preliminary talks to acquire the TikTok service from ByteDance by September 15, 2020 and shift its operations to the US.

Facebook launches official music videos for desktop, iOS and Android in India

Facebook has announced the launch of official music videos on their platform from artists across different publishers in the United States, and Thailand. Users will be able to discover, watch and share music by genre, artist, or mood, as well as access theme-based playlists like “Top Bollywood”, “Top Artists,” among others and has partnerships with T -Series Music, Zee Music Company, and Yash Raj Films. In the US it offers contents from artists like J. Balvin, Karol G, Sebastian Yatra, and more.

OnePlus leads Indian premium smartphone market in Q2 2020 with 29% market share: Report

The premium smartphone segment (above Rs. 30000) recorded an overall decline of about 32% YoY in Q2 2020, as the market continued to be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. OnePlus took the first place in market share for this quarter, close followed by Samsung second place and Apple in third place.

Black Shark just announced its Black Shark 3S, the company’s latest gaming smartphone as it had promised. It packs a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 270Hz touch sampling rate, 17ms touch response speed as well as MEMC intelligent motion compensation technology. It is powered by Snapdragon 865 with up to 12GB of RAM and  features mid- mounted motherboard design, so that it doesn’t get heated when holding the phone horizontally, said the company.
