BlackBerry 4G PlayBook for Sprint !


The BlackBerry Playbook is one impressive tablet atleast from what we have seen so far. When RIM announced this tablet few months ago , it spoke only about WiFi versions but hinted at 3G/4G versions for the future. And today at CES Sprint and RIM announced the BlackBerry 4G PlayBook for the Sprint 4G ( WiMax) network. It is expected to be launched this summer.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc is official , will be launched in select markets worldwide

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA ARC which was leaked yesterday was finally made official at CES in Las Vegas. The handset is powered by Android 2.3 operating system and features a sexy Arc design which is just 8.7mm at the thinnest portion.The ARC sports a 4.2 inch display featuring a Mobile Bravia engine.

Motorola XOOM Tablet Confirmed

Motorola’s website just confirmed that that Tablet they are going to announce in a few minutes is the XOOM

The name was spotted on the coming soon page of the website. Looking from the screenshot , it’s clear that the tablet is running on Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

It is rumored to be running on Verizon’a LTE network

Samsung announces Wi-Fi Only Galaxy Tab for USA

Samsung has confirmed the existence of the WiFi only Galaxy Tab today at CES . This version of the Galaxy Tab will go sale this quarter in USA and will be available without a contract as it lacks 3G connectivity . Specs wise it looks identical to the Galaxy Tab 3G Version except the 3G part. No pricing or exact launch date has been announced but it should be competing with the Apple iPad base model. BlackBerry PlayBook is the upcoming Tablet from RIM and it does have some impressive features. Now the folks at Blackberry have shared a video which highlights the web browser’s multimedia capabilities. It plays HTML 5 videos , full youtube videos without any delay. The pages also load pretty fast similar to a desktop. And since the Playbook supports Adobe Flash , you can also play Flash Games without leaving the browser. Sharp Galapagos Android Tablet coming to US , India , China

Sharp’s Android Tablet range – Galapagos is set to be launched outside Japan. The device was launched in Japan few weeks ago and I even managed to briefly play with one when in Tokyo. The device is available in 2 variants a – 5.5 inch and 10.8 inch version and we might see WiFi only and 3G models being launched. A Japanese newspaper talks about Sharps plans to launch the device and the Galapagos e-book service in USA first and then in India ,China and Brazil
