Xiaomi has announced a permanent price cut for the Redmi Note Prime smartphone, which is now available for Rs. 7,999, down from the launch price of Rs. 8,499. Idea today launched its 4G LTE services in Chennai, as it had promised back in December, when it launched 4G services in across 75 Towns in Southern India, including Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Tiruppur and Kancheepuram. Idea 4G is now available in 29 towns of Tamil Nadu and Chennai. It is available in 20 districts, including major towns of Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Salem, Tirunelveli, Vellore, Erode & Tirupur, covering 30% of the total population of the circle. LG usually introduces official case for their upcoming flagships every year, this time Xiaomi has teased (Via) a clear protective case for its upcoming flagship Mi 5 smartphone. Xiaomi says that the case will be just 0.45mm thick. It also reveals that the camera will be present on the left corner, the USB Type-C port will be present on the bottom with dual speakers. Samsung has announced that it has started rolling out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for its smartphones, starting from Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge smartphones. It released Android 6.0 beta update for the S6 and S6 edge users in the UK and the Korean version got the update last month. Qualcomm will supply LTE-Advanced carrier aggregation support technology to smartphone makers such as Micromax and Samsung, according to a latest report from the ET. Carrier aggregation used in LTE-Advanced increases the bandwidth, thereby increasing the bitrate. Back in 2014, Qualcomm partnered with LG and Airtel to offer LTE Advanced with carrier aggregation on LG G2 that is powered by Snapdragon 800 processor. LG today announced Tone Platinum (HBS-1100) Bluetooth Stereo headset ahead of next week’s MWC 2016. It has a sleek aluminum finish and ergonomic design. It has been developed in collaboration with Harman/Kardon, similar its Tone Infinim headset. “It has a Balanced Armature design that is usually reserved for high-end wired earphones and offers for minimize distortion,” said LG.
