iOS 10.3 beta brings Find My AirPods, Cricket updates for Siri and more

iOS 10.3 Siri Cricket updates and Find my Airpods

Apple has released iOS 10.3 beta for developers that brings several new features including a feature that helps you find misplaced AirPods. It keeps track of the last known location where AirPods were connected to an iOS device over Bluetooth. It also allows users to play a sound to locate a lost AirPod. It also brings cricket sports scores and stats for Indian Premier League and International Cricket Council for Siri.

Some cricket related queries you can ask Siri ( this is just suggestive )

  • What are the 2016 IPL rankings?
  • How are the Royal Challengers Bangalore doing?
  • Who leads the IPL in runs scored?
  • Show me Virat Kohli stats.
  • Who plays on the South Africa national cricket team?
  • When is the next Cricket match?
  • Which IPL team does AB de Villiers play for?
  • Who took the most wickets last year in IPL?

The update also brings several new features for SiriKit, CarPlay and more. Check out the complete changelog below.

iOS 10.3:
• Find My iPhone lets you locate your AirPods
• AirPods come with the custom AirPod Case which keeps them safe, secure, and charged up whenever they’re not in use. If you ever misplace one or both of your AirPods, you can use the Find My iPhone app to locate them to within Bluetooth range of any of your iOS devices that are signed in to iCloud. If your AirPods are within range of any of these devices and available, that device’s location will be used to show you where to start looking.
• Find My iPhone can also play a specially designed sound on either or both AirPods to help you pinpoint their location.
• If your AirPods are out of range of all of your devices, need to be recharged, or are in the closed AirPod Case, Find My iPhone can still help by showing the time and location where they were last connected to your iOS device.
• This feature will be accessible via the Find My iPhone app on iOS 10.3 or later and from any computer at icloud.com/find. It will automatically be enabled for your AirPods when set up with an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch that already has Find My iPhone enabled.
• SiriKit domains expand with support for paying and checking status of bills with payment apps and scheduling with ride booking apps
• CarPlay adds shortcuts to launch the last two used apps; Music displays Up Next and picking from a song to album or artist; Maps now displays EV charging stations
• 3D Touch on weather icon in Maps to get hourly forecasts, chance of rain and daily high and low temperatures
• Tapping the iMessage app icon now displays iMessage apps
• Mail conversation view navigation improvements

The iOS 10.3 beta is currently available only for developers and is expected to roll out for the public as beta soon.
