Xiaomi launched the Mi 4i back in 2015 MIUI 6 based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). MIUI v8.5.3 was the last update for the above mentioned devices which company rolled out a few months back, and company decided to skip MIUI 9.0 update for the phone. Earlier this week the company started rolling out MIUI 9.2 Global Beta Stable update to the phone and, the main highlights of MIUI 9.2 include Interactive and Fresh UI changes, New Gallery App, Calendar Cards, App Vault, Mi Video App, New Mi Explorer.
Panasonic has launched LUMIX GH5S, its latest flagship model under LUMIX G DSLM cameras based on the Micro Four Thirds system standard. This doesn’t have 5-Axis in-body Stabilization that was present in the GH5 that was launched and also uses new 10.2-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor with Dual Native ISO Technology and Venus Engine that allows for a maximum 51200 ISO in high-sensitivity recording with minimal noise. It can record Cinema 4K (4096 x 2160 resolution) video at 30 or 60 frames per second and shoot 14-bit RAW files at up to 10 frames per second.
Last week Broadcom made its final offer to acquire Qualcomm at a value of $121 Billion, which is $82 per share which consist of $60.00 in cash and $22.00 per share in Broadcom stocks. Qualcomm today announced that its Board of Directors unanimously rejected the unsolicited proposal by Broadcom. This comes after the first offer that was made by Broadcom got rejected by Qualcomm back in November and in December it rejected directors nominated by Broadcom to replace the Qualcomm’s existing board of directors. Honor recently confirmed the list of phones that will be getting the Android 8.0 Oreo update which also included the Honor 8 Pro. It started rolling out the update for Honor 8 Pro and the Honor 9 phones in the UK last week. Earlier this week it started rolling out the update for Indian users as well. Xiaomi keeps improving shopping experience on its Mi online store. Back in December it introduced Tez payment support, last month it introduced smart delivery for flexible pick-ups. Today it has launched new Express Delivery service on mi.com and on Mi Store app that offers delivery within a single day for customers in Bengaluru at no additional cost. Vodafone today launched VoLTE services in India starting from Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Gujarat (Surat and Ahmedabad). With this option, now Vodafone users can enjoy HD quality voice calls with faster call set up time compared to normal voice calls on their VoLTE-compatible 4G handsets. Earlier this week Xiaomi sent out invites for an event on February 14th, where it is expected to launch the Redmi 5 or Redmi Note 5 smartphone. Today Flipkart has confirmed that it will launch exclusively with them. Last year’s Redmi Note 4 was launched exclusively on Flipkart, and in a new tweet Flipkart has tagged Gaurav Kapur and said “Looks like everyone is excited about @XiaomiIndia’s all-rounder that’s a 5/5”, with similar “all-rounder” tag as Redmi Note 4 that was launched by Ravindra Jadeja, so we can expected the Redmi Note 5 to launch next week. Vodafone has launched VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) services in India in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Gujarat (Surat and Ahmedabad), as the company had promised, after testing it recently. Vodafone is calling it Super VoLTE and said that the technology delivers high-quality sound over voice calls across the Vodafone SuperNet 4G network so that users will experience ultra-clear voice quality and reduced background noise. Huawei’s Honor brand recently said that the Honor7X is now made in India and the company in partnership with Flex has started manufacturing the phone at Flex’s plant in Sriperumbudur, near Chennai. Today the company has announced that the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version of the smartphone will be available across Honor partner stores pan India starting from February 9th at the same online price of Rs. 15,999.
