Jolla to introduce Sailfish OS 3, new Sailfish devices on February 26 at MWC 2018

Finnish-based handset maker, Jolla has announced its MWC 2018 event on February 26. At the event the company will unveil the major Sailfish OS 3 update and will also introduce new Sailfish devices, and probably Sailfish X support for more Sony Xperia devices. Vivo smartphone with bezel-less display, under-glass fingerprint sensor surfaces

Last month Vivo launched the X20 Plus UD with in-display fingerprint sensor in China. Even though this had a Full HD+ 18: 9 Super AMOLED display, it had bezels around the screen. Now an image of a new smartphone with almost bezel-less screen, similar to the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. It is not clear if this is the upcoming X30 since this doesn’t have a top-notch with earpiece and the front camera. Some rumors say that this will have over 95% screen-to-body ratio. BSNL launches 4G LTE services in India starting from Kerala

State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has finally launched 4G services in India starting from Kerala. BSNL 4G services will be available at five locations – Udumbanchola, Udumbanchola Town, Kallupalam, Chemmannar and Senapathy in Kerala in the high range Idukki district and is expected to be roll out to other districts in Kerala later this year. Xiaomi Mi 4i gets final MIUI 9.2 update

Xiaomi launched the Mi 4i back in 2015 MIUI 6 based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). MIUI v8.5.3  was the last update for the above mentioned devices which company rolled out a few months back, and company decided to skip MIUI 9.0 update for the phone. Earlier this week the company started rolling out MIUI 9.2 Global Beta Stable update to the phone and, the main highlights of MIUI 9.2 include Interactive and Fresh UI changes, New Gallery App, Calendar Cards, App VaultMi Video AppNew Mi Explorer.

Panasonic Lumix GH5S cinema 4K HDR video recording camera launched in India for Rs. 184990

Panasonic has launched LUMIX GH5S, its latest flagship model under LUMIX G DSLM cameras based on the Micro Four Thirds system standard. This doesn’t have 5-Axis in-body Stabilization that was present in the GH5 that was launched and also uses new 10.2-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor with Dual Native ISO Technology and Venus Engine that allows for a maximum 51200 ISO in high-sensitivity recording with minimal noise. It can record Cinema 4K (4096 x 2160 resolution) video at 30 or 60 frames per second and shoot 14-bit RAW files at up to 10 frames per second.

Qualcomm rejects Broadcom’s revised buyout offer

Last week Broadcom made its final offer to acquire Qualcomm at a value of $121 Billion, which is $82 per share which consist of $60.00 in cash and $22.00 per share in Broadcom  stocks. Qualcomm today announced that its Board of Directors unanimously rejected the unsolicited proposal by Broadcom. This comes after the first offer that was made by Broadcom got rejected by Qualcomm back in November and in December it rejected directors nominated by Broadcom to replace the Qualcomm’s existing board of directors. Xiaomi Express Delivery on Mi online store offers free within a day delivery in Bengaluru

Xiaomi keeps improving shopping experience on its Mi online store. Back in December it introduced Tez payment support, last month it introduced smart delivery for flexible pick-ups. Today it has launched new Express Delivery service on mi.com and on Mi Store app that offers delivery within a single day for customers in Bengaluru at no additional cost. Vodafone today launched VoLTE services in India starting from Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Gujarat (Surat and Ahmedabad). With this option, now Vodafone users can enjoy HD quality voice calls with faster call set up time compared to normal voice calls on their VoLTE-compatible 4G handsets. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 launching in India on February 14 exclusively on Flipkart

Earlier this week Xiaomi sent out invites for an event on February 14th, where it is expected to launch the Redmi 5 or Redmi Note 5 smartphone. Today Flipkart has confirmed that it will launch exclusively with them. Last year’s Redmi Note 4 was launched exclusively on Flipkart, and in a new tweet Flipkart has tagged Gaurav Kapur and said “Looks like everyone is excited about @XiaomiIndia’s all-rounder that’s a 5/5”, with similar “all-rounder” tag as Redmi Note 4 that was launched by Ravindra Jadeja, so we can expected the Redmi Note 5 to launch next week. Vodafone launches VoLTE services in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Gujarat

Vodafone has launched VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) services in India in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Gujarat (Surat and Ahmedabad), as the company had promised, after testing it recently. Vodafone is calling it Super VoLTE and said that the technology delivers high-quality sound over voice calls across the Vodafone SuperNet 4G network so that users will experience ultra-clear voice quality and reduced background noise.
