Update: July 8, 2019 — Realme has confirmed that the smartphone will launch in India on Flipkart. It has also posted #RealVoiceOfIndia results that says 62% people prefer pop-up camera, 59% prefer full-screen no-notch display, 66% ask for super fast-charging battery and 81% want a brilliant camera.
Update: July 5, 2019 — Today the company has announced that the ROG Phone 2 will be announced on July 23rd in China. In addition to 120Hz display, 3C certification revealed 30W fast charging.

Vivo launched the Z1Pro smartphone in India earlier this week starting at Rs. 14,990. We already brought you the unboxing and first impressions of the phone, here we have the camera samples from the phone. The Z1Pro packs a 16-megapixel primary rear camera with Sony IMX499 sensor, f/1.78 aperture, 8-megapixel 120° wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and 2-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture to capture depth information in portrait shots.
Korean giants Samsung and LG reported earnings guidance for the second quarter of 2019. Both the companies have reported drop in profits for the quarter.

Update: July 4, 2019 — PUBG Lite beta is now available for download for users in India from lite.pubg.com. The .exe file is just 64MB, but you need to download 2.4GB game files before you can play the game. It also prompts you to install Microsoft Visual C++, .NET Framework 4.5.2 and DirectX 11, and required graphic drivers during installation. Rewards for those who had preregistered will be given out soon, said the company.

HMD Global has finally confirmed that it will launch its flagship Nokia 9 PureView with 12MP penta rear cameras in India soon, which could be sometime later this month. The penta rear camera arrangement features two RGB and three monochrome lenses to collect up to 10-times the amount of light than a single colour sensor, with ZEISS Optics.
Lenovo has announced Z6, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the ‘Z series’ in China. It has a 6.39-inch OLED waterdrop notch screen with 93.1% screen-to-body ratio, HDR10 support, is powered by Snapdragon 730 with up to 8GB of RAM, runs Android Pie with ZUI 11 on top, has a 24-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX576 sensor and f/1.8 aperture, effective 1.8um pixel through four-in-one pixel binning, 8MP telephoto lens for 2x loss-less zoom and up to 8x hybrid zoom, and a 5-megapixel depth sensing lens for portrait shots. There is also a 16-megapixel front camera AI beauty features.

HUAWEI’s HONOR brand has announced that it will introduce HONOR 9X, successor of last year’s Honor 8X in China on July 23rd. The company has confirmed that it will be powered by Kirin 810 7nm SoC that was introduced along with the Nova 5 smartphone last month. The company did not share any other information yet, but @evleaks has posted a sketch of the phone that shows a no-notch (LCD) screen, pop-up front camera, which could feature a 32-megapixel sensor and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Update: July 3, 2019 — A day before the launch, the company has confirmed that the Indian version of the Redmi 7A will feature 12MP Sony IMX486 sensor with 1.25um pixel size and AI features, same as the Indian variant of the Redmi Note 7 and the Mi A2. The Chinese Redmi 7A has a 13-megapixel sensor with 1.12um pixel size.
