Nubia Play 5G with 144Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 765G, 48MP quad rear cameras, 5100mAh battery to be announced on April 21

Update: April 17, 2020 – Nubia has confirmed that the phone will come with an AMOLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The image shows a bezel on the top to house the camera, and the phone will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone has been confirmed to be powered by Snapdragon 765G Mobile Platform.

OPPO A92s with 6.57-inch FHD+ 120Hz display, MediaTek Dimensity 800, quad rear cameras, dual front cameras announced

OPPO has announced A92s, the company’s new mid-range 5G phone in China, as expected. It packs a 6.57-inch FHD+ LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate, punch-hole screen houses a 16MP camera as well as a 2MP depth sensor, Octa-Core MediaTek Dimensity 800 7nm SoC, built-in 5G stand alone and non-stand alone (SA/NSA) sub-6GHz networks, quad rear cameras that includes a 48-megapixel primary rear camera, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensors. realme X3 SuperZoom with Snapdragon 855+, 12GB RAM gets certified [Update: Expected to launch in India soon under Rs. 30000]

Update: April 17, 2020 – realme has started asking for feedback for display on its upcoming product in Rs. 20000 to Rs. 30000 segment powered by Snapdragon 8 series SoC (should be Snapdragon 855+ as rumored earlier). Users have to choose between OLED 60Hz or LCD 120Hz. The company is currently using 90Hz LCD and 60HZ OLED displays on its phones. A new Redmi smartphone with the model number M2003J15SC has been certified by TENAA in China, which is said to be launched as Redmi Note 9. This shows a punch-hole display with a 13-megapixel camera in the top left corner compared to top centre in the Redmi Note 9 Pro series. Even the fingerprint sensor location has been changed from side to back, however this still has a 48-megapixel quad rear camera arrangement with flash moved to the right side of the camera module. Xiaomi said to launch several products including new Mi TV Stick in Europe in Q3 and Q4 2020

Xiaomi launched the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro smartphones and also introduced the Mi AirDots Pro 2 as Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 for the European market at a global event last month. Now the complete Xiaomi product roadmap for the European market has surfaced. Microsoft Translator gets support for Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Malayalam and Kannada languages

Microsoft has been adding new Indian languages to Translator, now it has added five Indian languages: Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Malayalam and Kannada.  This takes the total number of Indian languages supported to 10, including Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.  Microsoft said that the Translator team have continuously been improving translation quality based on technology advancements and usage signals.

HUAWEI Nova 7 series 5G smartphones to be announced on April 23

After rumors HUAWEI has finally confirmed that its Nova 7 series, successor of last year’s HUAWEI nova 6 series will be introduced in China on April 23rd. This comes after its P40 series that were unveiled globally last month, and in China a few days back. The image in the invite reveals large camera part, so the phones might pack quad rear cameras compared to triple cameras in the predecessor. Kirin 985 5G 7nm Octa-Core SoC with Mali-G77 GPU, Dual NPU announced

HUAWEI’s HONOR brand at the HONOR 30series  launch event introduced Kirin 985 SoC that lies between the Kirin 980 and the 980 and powers the HONOR 30 smartphone . It uses 7nm processor technology, similar to the 990. This has one ARM Cortex-A76 prime core clocked at 2.58GHz, three ARM Cortex-A76 larger core clocked at 2.40GHz and the other four smaller ARM Cortex-A55 cores are clocked at 1.84GHz. HONOR 30 Pro+ with 6.57-inch FHD+ 90Hz OLED waterfall screen, 50MP triple rear cameras, HONOR 30 Pro and HONOR 30 announced

HUAWEI’s HONOR brand today announced HONOR 30, HONOR 30 Pro and HONOR 30 Pro smartphones at an event in China. These have FHD+ OLED 70° curved screen with in-screen fingerprint scanner and a punch-hole camera, but only the Pro+ supports 90Hz waterfall screen. The HONOR 30 houses 32-megapixel camera and the HONOR 30 Pro and Pro+ also have an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera on the front. The HONOR 30 Pro and Pro + are powered by Kirin 990 5G SoC, while the HONOR 30 is powered by a new Kirin 985 7nm 5G  SoC that has slightly under clocked CPUs compared to the Kirin 990 and a Mali-G77 GPU, but retains the same ISP and dual NPU and Modem.
