Update: April 17, 2020 – realme has started asking for feedback for display on its upcoming product in Rs. 20000 to Rs. 30000 segment powered by Snapdragon 8 series SoC (should be Snapdragon 855+ as rumored earlier). Users have to choose between OLED 60Hz or LCD 120Hz. The company is currently using 90Hz LCD and 60HZ OLED displays on its phones.
realme launched the X2 smartphone in India back in December last year after it was introduced in China in November. Now the company is gearing up to launch the realme X3 smartphone in several markets including India as the realme X3 SuperZoom has been certified by Thailand’s NBTC with the model number RMX2086.
Geekbench listing reveals Octa-Core processor with the model msmnile, which is Snapdragon 855+. Since realme is planning to use last year’s flagship processor and 12GB RAM on the X2 SuperZoom, it might not be the successor of the realme X2 that is powered by Snapdragon 730G. It might also come with hybrid zoom support, which the X2 lacks.
The phone received BIS certification in India back in February, and even the company’s CMO Fracis Wang said that the X3 exists and it will be an amazing phone and holds the crown of X, but doesn’t know when it will launch due to the current lockdown situation. We should know more details soon.
Don’t wait for X3 as I am also not sure when it can be launched due to the current situation. Though it’s an amazing phone, it holds the crown of X.
