Xiaomi has finally introduced Mi VR Play, its VR (Virtual Reality) headset in China. It has a zipper design so that the phone doesn’t fall out when moving the headset, uses Lycra fabric (nylon + spandex) and EVA that is lightweight, skin-friendly and doesn’t cause discomfort when using it for longer period. It can fit phones from 4.7 to 5.7 inches in size. Since it has openings on the front, you can adjust the phone if it moves and ventilation.

OPPO has launched F1s, the company’s latest selfie-focused smartphone in India. The main highlight of the smartphone is the 16-megapixel front-facing camera with 1/3.1-inch sensor and f/2.0 aperture. It also has Beautify 4.0 and several filters. It has a 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 processor, but it runs on outdated Android 5.1 (Lollipop) OS with ColorOS 3.0 on top. Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 3S smartphone in India, as it had promised. It packs a 5-inch HD display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 SoC, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with MIUI 7 on top, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), resulting in a quick focus of just 0.1 second and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Moto Z Play with Snapdragon 625, 3GB RAM gets certified in China

Moto Z Play (XT1635), a mid range smartphone in the new Moto Z series surfaced in Geekbench results recently, now the smartphone has been certified by TENAA in China. Even though earlier benchmark results confirmed Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 SoC and 3GB of RAM, this reveals a 5.5-inch 1080p display and also a similar design as the Moto Z with support for Moto Mods. It has a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED curved edge display with always-on feature. It is powered by a Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8 Octa 8890 processor depending on the market, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, OIS and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Asus has announced ZenPad 3 8.0 (Z581KL) its latest Android tablet in the ZenPad series. It packs a 7.9-inch QXGA screen, is powered by an Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 SoC and runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) with ZenUI on top. It is similar to the ZenPad Z8 (ZT581KL) that was introduced for Verizon, but this comes in 4GB RAM with 32GB storage variant as well, in addition to 2GB RAM with 16GB storage variant. Vodafone offers 1GB free data for 4G SIM pre-bookings in Haryana

Vodafone already promised to roll out its 4G services in Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh (East) and West Bengal in the second phase. It recently started offering 4G ready SIMs at 250 Branded Stores and over 5,000 multi brand outlets across Haryana. Today the company has announced that it will offer 1GB of free 4G data for those who pre-book Vodafone 4G SIM between 1st and 23rd August in Haryana. Even though the invite just says to block the date, it also says that Samsung’s next flagship will be unveiled at the event. This will likely be the Samsung Galaxy Note7 that will be introduced at an event in New York later today at 8:30 PM IST. It will also be streamed live in 360-degrees.
