Xiaomi launched the Mi Max phablet in India back in June starting from Rs. 14,999. We already brought you the review of the phone, here we have the battery life test results. It packs a 4850mAh built-in battery, has a 6.44-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 or a Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 SoC and runs on MIUI 7 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow).

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Note7 smartphone earlier this week at an event in New York. Even though the smartphone was rumored to come in 6GB RAM variant as well, the company only announced the 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage. Micromax has launched Canvas Unite 4 Plus, an enhanced version of the Canvas Unite 4 smartphone that was launched in June. It comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, compared to 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage in the Unit 4. Other specifications are similar, including a 5-inch HD screen, quad-core MediaTek SoC, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash, fingerprint sensor and 4G LTE connectivity.

Coolpad India has sent out invites for the launch of its selfie-focused smartphone on August 10th. It is teasing the phone on its forum as Pure Marvel, even the invite says the same. The invite also mentioned Mega Selfie, hinting at a selfie-focused smartphone but it doesn’t reveal any details or specifications of the phone. Moto Z Play (XT1635), a mid range smartphone in the new Moto Z series got certified by TENAA in China recently. Now the live images of the smartphone has surfaced that shows the design of the phone clearly. It has similar design as the Moto Z and has support for Moto Mods. Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) had launched 4G services for its employees in December last year. It is yet to begin commercial roll out of its service. RIL’s Chairman Mukesh Ambani in the annual report for 2015-16 said that Jio now has over 15 lakh trial users and their feedback is extremely encouraging.

Asus has sent out press invites for the launch of its Zenfone 3 series at its Z3nvolution event in India on August 17th. The series has Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Ultra and Zenfone 3 Deluxe. All these were introduced at the Computex 2016 in May, come with 1080p displays and have a fingerprint sensor on the back.

OnePlus introduced its flagship OnePlus 3 smartphone back in June without invites. Now OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has announced that the company will stop sales of the phone for a month in several countries in Europe and in Hong Kong.
