Sony Xperia miro officially launched in India at Rs. 15,249
Sony today launched its latest Xperia handset the Xperia miro in India at a price point of Rs. 15,249. The specifications include a 3.5″ display with a resolution of 320×480. You can find a 5MP camera over at the back of the device which is capable of recording at 30FPS. A front facing camera is also included for video calls. Nokia Lumia 800 Price Drops to Rs.18867
Nokia’s first Windows Phone device, the Nokia Lumia 800 just got a major price drop. The phone is now available for Rs. 18,867 and includes a free Monster in-ear headset worth Rs.5,110. The Lumia 800 runs on Windows Phone 7.5 and is expected to get an update to Windows Phone 7.8 soon.

Nokia announced the Lumia 510, their most affordable Windows Phone device in India just now. We got a hands-on with the device at the launch event. Firefox marketplace now accessible via Firefox browser for Android
Mozilla’s Firefox browser and OS on Android also includes a separate marketplace app. The application is now accessible to users of the Android Firefox browser. The marketplace includes a number of apps, utilities and games meant for the upcoming mobile operating system by Mozilla. Predictably, the number of applications is very low.

We recently got in the Pad Pivot for review and decided to give it a spin. What’s a Pad Pivot ? You might want to call it yet another stand for the Apple iPad but you’d be surprised to know how nifty this little device actually is.

The Pad Pivot started off as a Kickstarter project but became popular enough to hit retail. Most iPad stands tend to be too bulky and impractical to carry with you on the road but the Pad Pivot does the job admirably well. Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro Benchmarking
At Qualcomm’s IQ India event here in New Delhi, we got a chance to get our hands on some of the latest development hardware that Qualcomm has. The latest quadcore mobile processor ie the Snapdragon S4 Pro (APQ 8064) was shown off in the form of its tablet reference design. The chip uses 4 krait cores alongside the Adreno 320 GPU.

As part of the benchmarking workshop, we ran a range of tests on it to judge performance and the figures were some of the best we’ve seen so far. A quick test on the Quadrant benchmark resulted in a score of 7641 points which is the best we have seen for a device till now.
Nokia reports Q3 2012 financials, 2.9 million Lumias sold, $9.4 billion in sales

Nokia just published its quarterly financial report and predictably, the results aren’t good at all. The Finnish smartphone manufacturer reported losses of $754 million. The silver lining to this is that the company has definitely managed to slow down its losses which were reported at $1.01 billion in the previous quarter. The sales of Lumia devices dropped down to 2.9 billion compared to 4 million in the last quarter.

HTC J Butterfly launched with 5 inch 1080p display on Japan’s KDDI network

Microsoft Surface RT priced at $499 for 32GB version, Touch cover not included

Asus Padfone 2 shows off larger screen, new dock in video
Asus took the world by surprise when it launched what is still the world’s only phone and tablet combo, the Padfone. The company is planning to update the specifications of the phone, improve on the docking mechanism and we just got our first look at it via a video where CEO Jimmy Shen walks us through the Padfone 2.

The Padfone 2 is believed to include a 4.7″ screen with a 720p resolution. The camera too is believed to have been bumped up to 13 megapixels. While the original Padfone Docking Station included a door to let you slide in the phone, the redesigned version is much thinner and has an exposed back. HTC opens its first ‘concept store’ in Delhi

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini specifications and image leaked
