Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S3 mini in an event tomorrow in Germany but MobileGeeks have managed to get hold of the specifications and product images before hand. As expected, the S3 Mini is a miniaturized version of the flagship Galaxy S3 with a smaller 4″ screen and unfortunately, much scaled down specs.
The phone packs a 4″ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. A 5MP camera with a dedicated flash can be found at the back of the device while a VGA unit will do front facing duties. 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage can be found in the device believed to be powered by the STE U8420 processor clocked at 1Ghz. In terms of connectivity, you’ll find Wi-Fi N, NFC, HSPA and Bluetooth 4.0. The handset runs on Android 4.1 “Jelly Bean” with Samsung’s Touch Wiz UI layer on top. We expect to hear more about the price point and general availability at tomorrow’s event.
