realme, one of India’s major smartphone manufacturers, has announced their commitment to adopting 5G technology across their portfolio of products. In an open letter, the company’s CEO, Sky Li, revealed that over the next two year, 70% of the products offered by realme will adopt 5G technology and realme will also be dedicating a significant amount of R&D resources to help speed up the adoption.

Airtel today announced that it has become the country’s first telcom performance to successfully demonstrate and orchestrate live 5G service over a commercial network in Hyderabad city. Using their over-the-air network in Dallas, Texas, Nokia has claimed the record of the fastest 5G connection in the world during a test, reaching speeds of 4.7 Gbps. The test was powered by their AirScale Radio Access end-to-end 5G solution and used a technique called carrier aggregation and Dual Connectivity over 5G and LTE networks.
