MTV India and Swipe Telecom has partnered once again to launch the MTV Slate, a 7.85-inch device in Swipe’s Tablet series. It has a 7.85-inch IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera and packs a 3200 mAh battery. It has SIM card slot that lets you make voice calls.
Samsung has announced the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids, a variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 that was announced earlier this year. It has a 7-inch (1024×600) TFT LCD display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 3-megapixel fixed focus rear-facing camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes only in Wi-Fi variant with 8GB of internal memory and a micro SD card slot. Kobian has launched the mTAB Star, a new 7-inch tablet. It has a 7-inch ( 1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 2-megapixel pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 3G data connectivity and voice calling through a SIM card slot and packs a 3000 mAh battery. We had already heard lot of rumors about Nokia’s Windows RT tablet. Earlier this month there were rumors about Nokia launching their first Windows RT tablet at an event in New York scheduled for September 26th. Back in June, a mysterious Nokia device codenamed RX-114, running on Windows, with the Adreno 330 GPU surfaced. The Adreno 330 reference in the developer page hinted at Snapdragon 800 chipset, which has been officially confirmed to support Windows RT 8.1. iBall has launched the Slide i9018, a new tablet in the Slide series. It has a has a 9-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capactive multi-touch IPS display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2. (Jelly Bean). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It comes with Bluetooth support and an HDMI support, but it doesn’t have a SIM card slot. Intex is all set to launch the i-Buddy Connect II 3G, successor of i-Buddy Connect 3G tablet that was launched earlier this year. The tablet has appeared on the official website and is also available from online retailer ShopClues. It has a 7-inch (800 x 400 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Cortex A5 processor and runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It comes with a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Lenovo has launched three new Android tablets in India. These tablets were announced earlier at the MWC 2013 and the A1000 went on sale in India from the official Lenovo online store last month. The A1000 has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core MediaTek MTK8317 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a SIM card slot with 2G data support, voice calling capabilities and a VGA front-facing camera. The A3000 also has a similar 7-inch display, but it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 8125 processor. It also supports 3G and voice calling. However the tablet runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). Most of the benchmarks scores are almost similar to the first XTRON tablet that we reviewed earlier this year.

Windows Phone Central reports that Nokia is having a launch event in New York on September 26th and 27th spanning two days, for a rumoured tablet announcement. We had reviewed the Lava E-Tab XTRON earlier and found it to be a pretty decent tablet for a really low price. But the company has improved upon the original and has labeled it the XTRON+ that launched recently, and as usual, we have unboxed it to show you what the differences and the box contents. Amazon announced the Kindle Fire HD 7-inch and 8.9-inch tablets back in September last year. These tablets were launched in India last month. Now rumors of the next-gen Kindle Fire HD tablets have surfaced.
