Asus Fonepad 7 video ad surfaces ahead of IFA announcement

Asus had introduced the original Fonepad at MWC 2013 earlier this year and the Fonepad saw a slight bump in the specifications sometime during summer. Asus just posted and removed a video ad for the yet another refresh of the Fonepad.

Lava E-Tab Velo+, a new tablet in the Lava’s E-Tab range is now available in India from online retailer Snapdeal. It has a has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capactive multi-touch display, powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), similar to the recently launched XTRON+. It has a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera, but lacks a rear camera. It doesn’t have a SIM card slot or voice calling capabilities, but supports dongles. Acer Iconia A3 with 10.1-inch HD display, quad-core processor, Android 4.2 announced

Acer announced the Iconia A1 tablet with a 7.9 inch display back in May, now it has announced the Iconia A3 tablet with a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS diplay. The Iconia A3 is also powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core cortex A7 processor (probably MediaTek) and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing camera. It comes in Wi-Fi-only and 3G + WiFi variants. It has Dolby Digital Plus that would offer 5.1 channel surround experience over headphones. No word on RAM and the battery capacity yet. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 210 now available in India for Rs. 12399

Samsung launched the Tab 3 211 with 3G support and voice calling last month, along with the Tab 3 310 and 311. Now the Galaxy Tab 3 210, Wi-Fi variant of the tablet is available from online retailer Snapdeal. It has a 7-inch (1024×600) TFT LCD display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 3-megapixel fixed focus rear-facing camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It doesn’t have a SIM card slot or voice calling capabilities like the Tab 3 211. LG G Pad 8.3 announced with Full HD display, Snapdragon 600 processor

LG had been teasing an upcoming tablet known as the G Pad 8.3 and today in Seoul , the company has finally taken the wraps of the LG G Pad 8.3 Android tablet and it does look like the big brother of the LG G2 smartphone which debuted recently. The GPad will be showcased at IFA 2013 in Berlin this week and true to its name it packs a 8.3 inch display with a massive 1920×1200 resolution similar to the resolution of the screen on the new Nexus 7 2013. On the inside it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Quadcore Processor running at  1.7GHz. LG has managed to pack a 4600 mAh battery into this device which is only about 8.3 mm thick and still weighs only about 338 grams. It runs on Android 4.2.2

Archos has unveiled its IFA line up early that includes range of Android tablets and a smartphone. The Archos 50 Oxygen smartphone features a full hd display  , 13-megapixel rear  camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It would be powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It would come with 16GB of internal storage. MTV India and Swipe Telecom has partnered once again to launch the MTV Slate, a 7.85-inch device in Swipe’s Tablet series. It has a  7.85-inch IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera and packs a 3200 mAh battery. It has SIM card slot that lets you make voice calls.

It has a 3-megapixel fixed focus rear-facing camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes only in Wi-Fi variant with 8GB of internal memory and a micro SD card slot. Nokia Windows RT tablet images surface, expected to launch in September

We had already heard lot of rumors about Nokia’s Windows RT tablet. Earlier this month there were rumors about Nokia launching their first Windows RT tablet at an event in New York scheduled for September 26th. Back in June, a mysterious Nokia device codenamed RX-114, running on Windows, with the Adreno 330 GPU surfaced. The Adreno 330 reference in the developer page hinted at  Snapdragon 800 chipset, which has been officially confirmed to support Windows RT 8.1. The tablet has appeared on the official website and is also available from online retailer ShopClues. It has a 7-inch (800 x 400 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Cortex A5 processor and runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It comes with a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes pre-loaded with Facebook , Nimbuzz, Skype, Gtalk , Yahoo Messenger  apps and games including Fruit Ninja, Moto Racing, Alpine, Angry Bird, Chess , Carrom and more.

Lava launched the XTRON+, the successor of XTRON recently. We brought you the unboxing and the benchmarks of the device last week. Here we have the complete review of the device. The XTRON+ has a 7-inch display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor similar to the first XTRON tablet that we reviewed earlier this year.
