Samsung Galaxy S5 boasts of a heart rate sensor that can measure and monitor users heart rate. Located below its 16MP camera, the sensor uses the S Health app on the phone to track daily activities of the users. The company has pushed an update to the S Health app that will read your stress level.

Any.do clocks 10 million mobile users, launches web app

Any.do web

Any.do, one of the popular to-do apps for Android and iPhone has launched its first web app on web.any.do. It has also announced that it has crossed 10 million users on mobile. The web app is still in beta but you can sign up with your e-mail to get a pass code for the access. This syncs tasks between your mobile apps and has desktop-friendly UI with new focus and planning modes. This let users view tasks in a single column or across all folders at once. Secret app released for Android, goes global

Secret, a social networking app that lets users send text and images to others anonymously has now landed on Android. The four month old app that made its debut on iOS earlier this year, preserves user identity as it does not have profile name or photo. It uses address book of users to see what your “friends” and “friends of friends” are also posting. Users can sign in, post public, anonymous confessions, and let others comment on, like, and share them.

Google Chrome 35 for Android brings multi window, full screen for videos and more

Google has updated Chrome for Android with a bunch of features and UI improvements. For starters, Chrome now supports multi-window devices including the support for folders within the Chrome OS Launcher. This will enable users to organize their apps properly. The version 35.0.1916.122 includes the ability to undo a tab close.

Google has given Google+ on Android a massive makeover with a revamped user interface and several new features. The tech giant has introduced a new feature that organizes and manages your vacation photos.

Google Plus 4.4 for Android

Dubbed as Auto Awesome Stories, the feature combines photos and videos and transforms them into a photo album. It automatically pulls data from geo-tags on photos, landmark detection, location history, and other photo analysis tricks to make various slides for Stories.  In addition, Auto Awesome Movies which is available on iOS and web allows you to automatically mix together photos and videos to make quick and fun highlights.

Windows Phone 8.1 Preview updated, bug fixes and battery life improvements inbound

Windows Phone 8.1 debuted as a developer preview just a month ago, and today, it has received its first update, in preparation for a wider consumer launch later in the coming weeks or months. The update, first publicized by Windows Phone champion Joe Belfiore, reportedly brings many bug fixes, some new features and the much needed battery life improvements some users had wanted. The update is immediately available for download from the “Phone update” section under the Windows Phone settings menu.
