Simplocker Android malware encrypts file and demands ransom

A new Android malware is affecting Android phone users in Ukraine by locking their mobile data. Called as Simplocker, the malware scans the device’s SD card or internal storage, encrypting any data files it finds there with a range of extensions, including obvious ones such as .jpg, .doc, .avi, and mp4. It then demands a ransom from them to recover their files.

Google Glass adds ‘Notification glance’ in the latest update

Google has updated Glass with an experimental feature that will make viewing notification simple. Dubbed as Notification Glance, the  feature enables Glass Explorers to simply look at the Glass to receive the notification. Prior to this users had to either tap on the touchpad or nod your head. Now, you can just glance at your screen.

Hitman GO turn-based puzzle game now available for Android

Hitman GO for iOS
Square Enix released Hitman GO, a turn-based puzzle game for iPhone and iPad back in April. The game is now available for Android. This lets you strategically navigate fixed spaces on a grid to avoid enemies, infiltrate well-guarded locations and take out your target. Apple adds wake up command and Shazam integration to Siri

In a bid to enhance song recognition, Apple has added Shazam integration to Siri. Apple’s intelligent voice assistant will identify the song from Shazam’s database. If the user asks “What song is playing”, Siri will identify the song and ask the user to buy it from iTunes. This feature was previously leaked last month.

WhatsApp is back on Windows Phone Store, brings Chat backgrounds, Privacy features and more

WhatsApps was suddenly removed from the Windows Phone Store due to technical issues and the WhatsApp team said that they are working with Microsoft to resolve the issues and bring it back shortly. The app did not return to the store even after a week, leaving Windows Phone users frustrated, since this is the only way to download the app for the platform. Few hours back the apps has returned to the Windows Phone Store and it has also been updated with new features.
