WhatsApp says it will not limit functionality for users who do not accept the new privacy policy

After the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) sent a letter to WhatsApp asking them to withdraw their Privacy Policy and TOS update. In response, WhatsApp has stated that the company will not be limiting functionality for users who are yet to accept the update, instead they will continue to show reminders to accept. WhatsApp also clarified that the update does not affect the privacy of their users’ personal messages.

Xiaomi reduces MIUI Security app animations for low end devices

Xiaomi proprietary Android skin MIUI offers a security app that has various features including Cleaner, Speed Booster, WhatsApp Cleaner, and a lot more. The app got a major overhaul with MIUI 10, but Xiaomi baked in various animations to the Security app with MIUI 12. These animations didn’t probably work smoothly on the low-end devices, as Xiaomi has decided to ditch the animation with the new version of the Security app. Xiaomiui, a Xiaomi-focused blog, took it to Twitter to share the screenshots from the new Security app.

After rumours, Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, a cheaper tablet in the S7 series. The tablet was earlier rumoured to be released Galaxy Tab S7+ Lite. It features a 12.4-inch WQXGA display with 60Hz refresh rate, is powered by Snapdragon 750G SoC, features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, has S Pen support with ultra-low latency and magnetic attachment. Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 8nm Compute Platform with built-in 4G for entry-level Windows PCs and Chromebooks announced

Qualcomm just announced Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 compute platform, the second generation of entry-level platform for entry-level Windows PCs and Chromebooks after the first one was introduced back in December 2019. It is still based on 8nm processor technology, has integrated Snapdragon X15 4G modem and the company said that it will offer 10% higher system performance than competitive platforms. Airtel deploys additional 11.2 Mhz spectrum in 1800 MHz band in Karnataka to enhance network coverage

After Tamil Nadu, Airtel today announced that it has also upgraded its mobile network in Karnataka by deploying an additional 11.2 Mhz spectrum in the 1800 Mhz band along with advance network software tools across its network in Karnataka to significantly bolster high speed data capacity. This will enable improved network availability and data speeds along with better coverage inside homes and buildings in cities and urban areas, said the company. Twitter preparing to introduce Ticketed Spaces for accounts with more than 1000 followers

Earlier this month, Twitter finally had a wide rollout of their Spaces audio chatroom feature to all accounts with more than 600 followers. The company is now previewing an extension to the feature, called Ticketed Spaces, which is essentially the ability to host paid live audio rooms.

Infinix India extends smartphone warranty by 2-months if they expire before June 15th
