Rumors about the mini version of the Xperia Z1 or Honami mini surfaced last month, even before the Z1 launch. Now Xperia Blog has got hold of the image and detailed specifications of the Xperia Z1 f (SO-02F) headed to NTT Docomo in Japan. As the earlier rumor suggested the Xperia Z1 f would have a 4.3-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) Triluminos Display with X-Reality for Mobile, powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and run on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). Storyteller app for Nokia Lumia 1520 and 2520 Sirius Tablet leaked, Zoe Highlights remixed?

We all know that Nokia is gearing up for a big reveal at Nokia World on October 22nd, but it seems that it’s not going to be just hardware, but Software too. The Nokia Lumia 1520 “Bandit” and the Lumia 2520 “Sirius” are two of the six devices that Nokia are purportedly going to announce at the event in Abu Dhabi, and thanks to @evleaks, we now have a glimpse of a new app called “Storyteller” that’s going to launch for both these devices with the different form factors. The app looks like a neatly arranged photo album with possibly Zoe Highlights-like features? Certainly looks better than the in-built Photos app, we will give it that.

Lenovo India has launched four new Android smartphones in the A Series. The A850 is a mid-range smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, while the other entry-level smartphones, A516, A369i and A269i are powered by dual-core processors. The A850 has a 5.5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) IPS display with wide 178 degree viewing angle, the A516 has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) IPS display with wide 178 degree viewing angle and the Lenovo A369i has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display. All these smartphones come with dual SIM support.

The HTC One mini appeared on the official India yesterday, now the Desire 500 is available for pre-order from online retailer Snapdeal. Online retailer Flipkart has also listed the smartphone as coming soon. Google Nexus 7 was launched in India quite late and went for sale at Rs. 15,999 for the 16GB WiFi version. Beats buys back $265 million of shares and bids good bye to HTC

HTC has been struggling in the smartphone market despite some encouraging HTC One sales. HTC held a 25 percent stake in the popular audio company Beats and that is one of the reasons most of the HTC handsets came with Beats audio. HTC had purchased 50.1 percent of Beats’ shares in 2011 for $300 million. Last year, the music company Beats got back half of that for $150 million and now they have totally got rid of HTC by buying their entire shares back for $265 million.
