Pebble Smartwatch app for iOS 7 update 1.3.0 now live, brings full notification center support

A few days back, Pebble, the Kickstarter success story that makes E-ink smartwatches, revealed their new 2.0 SDK with which developers could take advantage of the new capabilities and hooks in the software. It was also announced that there will be a new update to the Pebble Smartwatch app for devices running iOS 7, which will take advantage of the notification center Bluetooth APIs that Apple introduced with the new update. Well, that Smartwatch app update Pebble promised, which carries the version number – 1.3.0, is now live on the iTunes app store.

Videocon VT85C, the company’s new tablet has surfaced on the official website. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It  packs a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. Tata Docomo launches Endless Music service for its pre-paid customers

Tata Docomo has launched Endless Music, a yet a new value added service (VAS) for its pre-paid GSM customers in partnership with Hungama Mobile. This would let the customers listen to music for particular amount of period upon subscription and will work even for basic phone users, since this doesn’t require any software. This would only be available through electronic voucher distribution (EVD). It will also enable customers to set their favorite song and as caller tune at additional charges. It comes with a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It comes with 2G (EDGE) support and packs a 1300 mAh  battery. It also comes with range of pre-loaded applications including, Skype, Viber, Youtube, Yahoo messenger, Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter, Adobe Flash and more. Samsung has finally announced the features of the Tizen 3.0 OS at the Developer Summit in Seoul, Korea. At the summit, the Tizen 2.2.1 was also announced with  new features in privacy control and system framework including option to install the apps in the SD card and firmware download support for  USB.org framework test tool and Mac OS X. Main features of the Tizen 3.0 include, Updated Core and ToolChain, Multiple user support 64-bit Support and more. Toshiba introduces 8MP BSI CMOS camera sensor for smartphones

Toshiba Corporation has unveiled T4K35, a new 1.12µm, 8-megapixel BSI CMOS image sensor with color noise reduction (CNR) aimed to smartphones and tablet . The integrated  CNR circuit and realizes a signal-to-noise ratio are similar to Toshiba sensor created with 1.4µm pixel process. This sensor also incorporates a high dynamic range (HDR) function that reproduces dark and bright areas in high contrast images perfectly. Samsung launches Blush Pink Galaxy Note 3 in Korea

Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 3 in Jet Black, Classic White and Blush Pink colors back in September. Now the company has launched the Blush Pink Galaxy Note 3 in Korea. The Blush Pink Galaxy Note 3 is already available select countries, but it is not available in India yet. The Pink colored phone along with a Pink leather-like back cover is targeted at female users. Micromax to assemble phones in India starting next year

Micromax is looking to start assembling its phones in India starting next year, according to reports. The company might be the second largest smartphone vendor in India, it still imports all of its devices from China to sell it here. The original device manufacturers in China who do contract manufacturing for companies like Micromax, Karbonn and so many others, have enabled the influx of cheap and powerful smartphones for our market. With the ever expanding growth of the smartphone market in India, Micromax, which boasts 21 percent of the Indian market, might surely find that the logistics of import is definitely an issue, and the company is looking to fix it.

Karbonn is all set to launch the Titanium X, the company’s first phone with a full HD display. The phone has appeared on the official website and packs a  5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display, powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with Dual LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has NFC support and packs a 2300 mAh battery. Detailed specifications of the phone such as RAM and memory are not available yet. Karbonn launched the Titanium S9 with a 5.5-inch HD display and a 13MP camera back in July. The LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 variant (SM-P900) surfaced at the FCC earlier this month, now the non-LTE variant has been spotted at the FCC. The tablet sketch also reveal a slot for the stylus pen on the top corner. Rumors of the 12.2-inch tablet first surfaced back in June, which was expected in Q3 2013, but it didn’t happen. OPPO has announced that they would start selling a limited edition of their latest flagship device, the OPPO N1 running CyanogenMod out of the box in December. This would support all the unique features of the OPPO N1, and also range of CyanogenMod accessories. The Oppo N1 was announced back in September and packs a 5.9 inch full HD 1920×1080 IPS LCD display, powered by a 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with Adreno 320 and runs on OPPO’s ColorOS. Sony Stylus ES22, a new stylus pen for the Xperia Z Ultra has appeared on the the official website. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra with a 6.44 Inch full HD Triluminous display was launched in India back in July, and we reviewed it in August. Since the phone has a super sensitive screen, you can use any stylus, a ordinary pencil or even a standard pen to interact with the touch screen, even though it doesn’t not detect pressure changes. HTC M8’s back cover leaks out in pictures, specifications point to Snapdragon 800, 3 GB of RAM and Sense 6

The first pictures of the HTC One successor, codenamed M8, have leaked out. If you remember right, the HTC One was codenamed M7 and was similarly leaked well in advance of its official Pre-MWC launch. As expected, the specifications too have been tipped by the source who claims to have seen and taken those above photos of the M8. The obvious inferences we can make from the photos is that HTC will be continuing with the unibody construction that it has been lauded for, but this time, it will be even better, with the body wrapping around the sides too. The colour seems to be the cool Vivid Blue, that the HTC One was recently released in.
