Sony IMX586 world’s highest resolution 48MP smartphone camera sensor announced

Sony just announced IMX586, its latest stacked CMOS image sensor for smartphones with highest pixel count in a smartphone and world-first ultra-compact pixel size of 0.8 μm, making it possible to pack 48 effective megapixels onto a 1/2-type (8.0 mm diagonal) unit. It uses  Quad Bayer color filter array, where the adjacent 2×2 pixels come in the same color, so that the sensor promises high sensitivity and high resolution. After Camon i Click last month, Tecno has launched the company’s latest mid-range Camon i Twin smartphone in India. It has a 6-inch HD+ 18:9 FullView display with 87.48% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 425 with 3GB of RAM and runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with the company’s own HiOS on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with Quad LED flash along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for AI portrait shots and a 13-megapixel front camera with LED flash and AI beauty. China’s BOE Display said to supply OLED displays to Apple

BlackBerry KEY2 with 4.5-inch FHD+ 3:2 display, QWERTY keyboard, Snapdragon 660, 6GB RAM, 12MP dual rear cameras launched in India for Rs. 42990

Optiemus Infracom Limited just launched the Blackerry KEY2 in India. GST Rate Cut: TVs up to 27-inches, power banks, video games, fuel cell and electric vehicles to get cheaper

The GST Council in its 28th meeting has pruned the 28% slab by cutting tax rates on 191 goods, leaving just 35 items, including AC, digital camera, video recorders, and automobiles, in the highest tax bracket. GST for 15 items including Televisions up to the size of 68 cm (27-inches), Lithium-ion batteries used in power banks and electric vehicles, vacuum cleaners, washing machine, video games are now down from 28% to 18%. The council has brought down GST of Fuel Cell Vehicle from 28% to 12%, giving a boost for alternative fuels. Further, Compensation cess shall also be exempted on fuel cell vehicle, said the council.
