Vivo announced the V1 and V1Max smartphones for India earlier this month. Today during the Vivo X5Pro launch, the company has officially launched these smartphones in India. Both these smartphones have run on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Funtouch OS 2.1 on top, have 4G LTE connectivity with support for 4G LTE bands (TDD B40 2300MHz and FDD B3 1800MHz) for India and have dual SIM support. Vivo has launched X5Pro, the company’s latest high-end smartphone in the X series in India. It packs a 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display. It has 2.5D curved glasses and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on the font and back. It is powered by Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and runs on Funtouch OS based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). Xiaomi has introduced two new headphones – Mi Headphones and New Mi In-ear Headphones or One More Design Piston Earphones, in India to celebrate the first anniversary of its entry into the country, along with the Mi 4i 32GB variant. The Mi wired Headphones was announced earlier this year along with the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro smartphones. Micromax announced the original YU YUREKA at the end of last year as the first phone in its YU range of smartphones that are powered by CyanogenMod OS. OnePlus today announced that it has opened 9 new service centres in India ahead of the launch of OnePlus 2 smartphone. The company also sent out invites for a separate launch event in India in Delhi on July 28th, after the global VR event at 7:30 AM IST on the same day. Uber started testing cash payment option in Hyderabad in May this year. Now the company has announced that it has started testing cash payment option in four more cities – Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Kochi in India for uberGO and uberX rides. Inside the Uber app there will be an an option to select CASH as a payment option, which must be selected before the ride. You don’t need a minimum balance in your Paytm wallet to be able to book rides with cash as payment option. Airtel has launched its 4G LTE trails in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack in Odisha. It already launched 4G trails in Hubli, Dharwad, Delhi, Hyderabad, Vizag, Madurai, Chennai, Coimbatore and Mumbai.
