Samsung today introduced the Galaxy J2, the company’s latest budget 4G smartphone in India, according to a report from The Hindu Business Line. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, packs 1GB of RAM and has new ultra data saving mode that would compress the data across all contents such as videos, photos, media, most apps and websites to save data up to 50%. Xiaomi today announced that it has sold over 3 million smartphones in India since its launch. It crossed one million sales mark in the country back in December 2014 with just three smartphones, Mi 3, Redmi 1S and Redmi Note. It said that it crossed 2 million mark in March this year, and it took just 6 months to sell one million smartphones to reach the 3 million milestone. Instagram has introduced video ads of up to 30 seconds in length. Previous ads were capped at 15 seconds, same length of video that users can post. Instagram also announced that ads will now be available in more than 30 additional countries, followed by full global availability at the end of the month.
