Apple announced new 9.7-inch iPad last month to replace the iPad Air 2 that was introduced in 2014. It is now available for pre-order from Flipkart in India. It has the same 9.7-inch Retina display, but this is powered by A9 chip and M9 motion coprocessor. It Touch ID fingerprint sensor and is just 7.5 mm thick. It also has a 8-megapixel camera and a 1.2-megapixel FaceTime HD front camera.
Xiaomi has surpassed Apple and Samsung to become the most preferred smartphone upgrade choice for Indian consumers in 2017, according to a report by research firm Strategy Analytics. 26 percent of potential Android buyers looking to upgrade their devices in 2017 list Xiaomi as their preferred brand. Samsung today launched Galaxy C7 Pro (SM-C7010), successor of the Galaxy C7 in the Galaxy ‘C Series’ in India. It was announced in China earlier this year, and packs a a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 626 14nm SoC, runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) with Samsung’s own UI on top, has a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
Airtel today announced that it has deployed 180,000 mobile sites across India, which is double the amount of its mobile network deployment over the past two years. It said that the deployment in the last two years is same as total sites deployed in the first 20 years of operations. It has a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, is powered by a quad-core Spreadtrum processor, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 5-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera that also has LED flash for capturing better selfies even in low lighting conditions.

Twitter has introduced a ‘lite’ version of its service aimed at users from emerging markets like India. YouTube has officially launched beta version of the YouTube Go app for Android in India. It was first announced back in September last year on its its 18th birthday.
