Airtel TV app for Android clocks 50 million downloads; free subscription for all customers extended till December 2018

Back in December last year Airtel updated its Airtel TV app that offers Live TV channels as well as Regional & International content. It also announced that the entire content catalogue of Airtel TV will be available for its users on a free subscription basis till June 2018. Today the company has announced that the Airtel TV Android app has crossed 50 million downloads with 40 million download in just 9 months, since it hit 10 million in August 2017. After Honor 7X, Honor 9 Lite is now being manufactured in Tamil Nadu

Huawei’s Honor brand back in February started manufacturing the Honor 7X in Tamil Nadu, India in partnership with Flex at its plant in Sriperumbudur, near Chennai. Today the company announced that now started manufacturing Honor 9 Lite locally in India in the same plant, as a commitment to ‘Make in India’ initiative.

HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+ with 5.5-inch and 6-inch full-screen displays launched in India for Rs. 15800 and Rs. 19790

HTC has launched Desire 12 and Desire 12+ smartphones in the Desire series. These were announced back in March and have 5.5-inch and 6-inch HD+ full-screen displays, and the similarity ends there. The Desire 12 is powered by a MediaTek MT6739 SoC with up to 3GB RAM, runs Android Nougat, has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. Ather Energy has launched its ‘Made in India’ smart electric scooter in two models – 340 and 450. The company has also started pre-bookings for the scooters in Bengaluru on Ather’s website and experience centre, AtherSpace at Indiranagar will open for test rides on Friday, 8th June, as it had promised last month. Vodafone launches one day unlimited calling pack for Rs. 9 in UP East

Vodafone today launched one-day unlimited calling pack for its pre-paid users in Uttar Pradesh at just Rs. 9. It also offers 100 SMS and 100MB of 2G/3G/4G data, which will also expire over the midnight. The pack will be useful for more than 60000 towns and villages in the circle believes Vodafone. The company launched a similar pack for Rs. 19 last year.

Last year at the Redmi Y1 launch event Xiaomi announced roll out details of MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM for its phones. The company introduced MIUI 10 at its Mi 8 launch event yesterday in China, and also said that beta from will roll out in China starting later this month. Samsung has silently launched the Galaxy J4 (SM-J400) in the J-series in India, after it was introduced last week. It comes with 5.5-inches Super AMOLED 16:9 aspect ratio display, is powered by the Samsung’s very own Exynos 7570 Quad-Core 14nm processor with 2GB of RAM. It packs a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera, both with LED flash.
