Xiaomi now has 1000 service centers in over 600 cities across India, leader in after sales service

Xiaomi has achieved a new milestone by opening its 1000th authorized service center in India in Hyderabad. This includes 500 service centers for Mi TV. It opened its 500th service center in Bengaluru back in June last year. Xiaomi’s service centers are now in over 600 cities in 4 years since the company entered India. The company said that it has over 6000 workforce contributing to the service network. Airtel to deploy 15000 new mobile sites, Massive MIMO pre-5G technology, 3000 kms of additional optic fiber in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

After Kerala, Mumbai and Tamil Nadu, Airtel has announced massive network expansion in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as part of its network transformation initiative – Project Leap. During the FY 18-19, Airtel plans to roll out 15,000 new mobile sites that translates to one new site being added every hour along with an addition of more than 3000 kilometers of optic fiber. Huawei’s Honor brand launched its flagship Honor 10 smartphone in India last month running Android 8.1 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.1 on top. OPPO schedules an event in India on July 12, Find X with bezel-less display expected

OPPO is all set to introduce its flagship Find X smartphone at a global event in Paris, France later today. The company has sent out invites for the launch of a smartphone in India on July 12. Even though the invite doesn’t say that it will be the Find X, the caption “Find what you have have been looking for until now” hints at the launch of the next-generation Find series smartphone.

Google India announces training network for journalists to raise awareness and share new tools to fight fake news

Google India just announced the launch of an extensive training network for journalists in India as a part of Google News Initiative. With this it aims to raise awareness against misinformation and provide new tools to journalists in their fight against fake news. This will provide training to 8000 journalists in English and six other Indian languages in the next one year.

OnePlus 6 OxygenOS 5.1.7 update with bootloader bypass vulnerability fix released; 5.1.6 roll out paused in India due to stability issues, 5.1.8 with fixes coming

OnePlus rolled out OxygenOS 5.1.6 with several new features including portrait mode support for the front camera, battery percentage in the status bar, Idea VoLTE support in India Dual-4G network option and more a few days back.
