LG just launched the Optimus 2X and Black in India and now there is news about the Korean handset maker launching the Optimus 3D in India which features a glasses-free 3D display and a 3D stereoscopic camera.

Aircel (not to be confused with Airtel ) too will also be launching the iPhone 4 in India the coming months. This is getting interesting. This is the first time anyone apart from Airtel or Vodafone is partnering with Apple for the iPhone in India. Only today morning , Airtel announced that it would be bringing the iPhone 4 to India.

Airtel just informed us they are bringing the Apple iPhone 4 to India. No pricing or exact launch date has been revealed but the note simply says that the Operator will launch the iPhone 4 in India in the coming months. Hope Airtel can pull it off before the iPhone 5 launches this summer. What do you think ?

Vodafone India launched it’s 3G services during the Cricket World Cup with a really funny advert and surely got a lot of attention. Vodafone pulled the tariffs details from it’s website after a really short period, guess why ? It decided to offer a free trial of 3G services to all it’s customers with 2G rates. If you are one of those users who are enjoying the free 3G on Vodafone, sad news is upon us folks ! The offer is supposed to end on April 10.

Tata Docomo has launched a device called the 3G Wi-Fi Hub, a Dual-mode device which works on both TATA Photon Plus CDMA and Tata Docomo 3G network. The 3G Wi-Fi Hub is nothing but a pocket WiFi router similar to the Vodafone MiFi and you can share your internet connection with any device that is Wi-Fi enabled. We think it’s a pretty interesting device as you can get reliable data access from either the GSM network or CDMA network.

BSNL has revised it’s 3G data tariffs and also introduced 2 new plans for both Prepaid and Postpaid users. For Prepaid users there is a new plan offering 250MB of free usage at Rs.100 and 22GB of free usage at Rs.2000. Both data plans comes with a validity of 30 days. At an event in New Delhi today , Sony Ericsson launched their flagship device , the Arc and the first Playstation certified phone , the Xperia Play. The Xperia Arc is arguable one of the slimmest Android smartphones in the world with a gentle curve on the back of the device. The gorgeous looking device comes with a large 4.2″ display powered by the Bravia Reality Engine which is supposed to make images and videos more vivid and sharp on the display. The 8MP camera on the device runs on EXMOR R technology which makes low light images brighter. The price for the Xperia Arc has been set at Rs 32,000.
