HTC has officially launched the Desire X, their new Android smartphone that is powered by an 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. It was announced in August, and went on sale in India last week. It has a 4.0-inch (800 X 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 5MP auto focus camera at the back with a f/2.0, 28mm wide angle lens, BSI sensor and and LED flash for better low-light imaging . It is the successor of the Micromax A100 Superfone Canvas that we reviewed recently. Karbonn launches Smart Tab 9 and Smart Tab 3 Tablets, A11, A7+ and A1+ Android Smartphones
Karbonn Mobiles has launched Smart Tab 9 (Marvel) and Karbonn Smart Tab 3 (Blade) running on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and range of Android Smartphones in India. Both these tablets are powered by a 1.2 GHz processor similar to the Smart Tab 1 that was launched in July. The Karbonn Smart Tab 9 has a 9-inch capacitive touch screen and a 4000 mAh battery, while the Smart Tab 3 comes with a 7.1-inch capacitive touch screen and a 2600 mAh battery. LG Optimus L5 Dual now available in India for Rs. 13499
LG Optimus L5 Dual is now available in India from online retailer Flipkart. LG unveiled the Optimus L5 at MWC 2012, later in June LG announced that the Optimus L5 would come with Dual SIM and NFC support in select markets. The Optimus L5 was launched in India in July. The Optimus L5 Dual packs in similar features as the single SIM variant including a 4.0-inch (320×480 pixels) IPS display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with Optimus UI 3.0. HTC One S and Desire V get a price cut in India
HTC has reduced the price of the One S and Desire V, which are now available for Rs. 25,900 and Rs. 16,999 in India. HTC One S was officially launched in India in June, but it got a price cut in August from Rs. 33,590 to Rs. 28,900. The HTC desire V went on sale in India for Rs. 21,999 in June. Karbonn A21 and A9+ with 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, Android 4.0 coming soon
Looks like Karbonn is on a launching spree. The Karbonn A11 that was listed online earlier this went on sale today. Now, the Karbonn A9+ is listed on Flipkart and the Karbonn A21 appears on the Karbonn site. The A9+ is the successor of the Karbonn A9 that was launched in July. The A9+ has a 4.0-inch (480 × 800 pixels) IPS display, while the A21 has a 4.5-inch (540 ×960 pixels) IPS display. Both these devices are powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor (According to Wikipedia, A9+ is powered by a Snapdragon S4 processor, but we have to wait for the official launch since any one can edit these details). Vodafone to accept Aadhaar as Identity and Address proof for a new connection
Vodafone has been appointed as the official Authentication Service Agency (ASA) and Authentication User Agency (AUA) of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). They launched the Proof of Concept (PoC) for use of Aadhaar as valid Proof of Identity (PoI) and Proof of Address (PoA) using the Aadhaar online authentication procedure in Andhra Pradesh.
