HTC Desire 600 Dual SIM Benchmarks

HTC officially launched the Desire 600 Dual SIM last week. We brought you the unboxing of the device earlier this week, here we have the benchmarks of the device. The phone is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8625Q processor with Adreno 203 GPU similar to the Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro and the Karbonn Titanium S5. It has a 4.5-inch super LCD2 display at a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels at 245 PPI pixel density and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) with HTC Sense 5.0 UI. Let us find out how the phone performs in various benchmarks.

Oppo Find 5 receives an OTA update, new features and bug fixes aplenty

The Oppo Find 5 is one of the very few phones in the world to receive updates driven by the community. If you had read our review, you might have have noticed us mentioning the overwhelming community support the device gets. Yes, there is a robust feedback system that the company employs thanks to the limited availability and a responsive fan base. Considering the feedback, they released an OTA update earlier, with bug fixes mostly dominating the changelog, and similarly there is another update available now, but this time they have added quite a lot of feature, read past the break to find the changelog.

Xiaomi introduces Hongmi smartphone with 4.7″ screen, Quad Core processor priced at $130

Popular China based smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi, has today launched a brand new budget smartphone called Hongmi which translates to Red Rice. The phone brings relatively high end specifications including a quad core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Oppo confirms new camera centric N-lens series of devices

We have already seen how the Oppo Find 5 had a great camera. If that wasn’t any indication how the Chinese company is serious about cameras, we have more information coming in. Oppo has just confirmed to Engadget on a previous scoop that they are indeed developing a new series of camera centric devices dubbed the “N-Lens”. These devices are more of connected cameras and less of cameraphones if the initial information is to be believed. But, the company also says that the N-Lens series of devices will be “most important flagship series for Oppo going forward.”

Sony Xperia Z Ultra launched in India for Rs. 46990


Sony has officially launched the Xperia Z Ultra, the company’s latest smartphones in the Xperia series. Sony unveiled the Z Ultra last month and it went on sale in India online last week. The Xperia Z Ultra has a 6.44-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos Display with with X-Reality engine, powered by 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). LG reveals Quick Window accessory for the G2 ahead of launch

The LG G2 had been officially confirmed as the upcoming flagship phone from LG, but hasn’t seen a proper unveiling yet. But that hasn’t stopped the company from releasing an accessory called “Quick Window” for the phone, which is launching in New York on August 7th. The accessory, which works just like the Samsung S-View cover for the Galaxy S4, literally offers a quick window into some basic functions and lets you access some mini apps. Sporting various colours, as noted from the image above, the cover will presumably launch to retail along with the device itself.

Micromax Bling 3 A86 now available for Rs. 9599

Micromax Bing 3 A86 that surfaced last week is now available from online retailer Snapdeal. The Bling 3 is the 3rd phone in the Bling series Bling phone that was launched back in 2010 and Bling 2 A55 that was launched in 2011. The Bling 3 has  Swarovski Zirconia crystals similar to the other Bling phones. It has 4-inch touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Karbonn A1 Star and the A5 Star, new budget Dual SIM Android smartphones are now available through online retailers Saholic and Flipkart. These are the successors of the Karbonn A1 and the Karbonn A5. The Karbonn A1 was launched back in 2011 and the A5 was launched last year. The A1 Star and the A5 Star have 3.5 inch and 3.2-inch display at HVGA resolution. Both these phones are powered by a 1 GHz processor. The A1 Star runs on Android 4.0 ICS, while the A5 Star runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Both these have Dual SIM support, rear and front-facing cameras. Apple iPhone 5C packaging spotted , is this the cheap iPhone ? May be in multiple colours !

In a fresh leak regarding the rumored cheaper iPhone , a chinese site WeiPhone has got hold of what looks like a tub full of iPhone 5C boxes. Would the cheaper iPhone be known as the iPhone 5 C? One high possibility is Apple brings Colour to the iPhone doing away with just black and while like it did with the iPod recently.This can be fake but would take weeks or even month to fake it so this could very well be the real deal considering we are closing in on the September/October time frame for the new iPhone unveiling. The packaging seems similar to the one used in newest  iPod touches and considering this a cheaper iPhone , it would be fair to bet that Apple wants to spend as little as possible on the box.

MediaTek reveals True Octa-Core chip solution

MediaTek, the company responsible for the countless number of Quad Core devices in the mid range Indian market, has today revealed its “True” Octa-Core solution by taking a slight jab at Samsung’s big.LITTLE based Exynos Octa 5. It has been rumoured for some time that MediaTek is going forward with its plans for a Octa Core solution of its own, but the news has finally reached “not a rumour anymore” status with the company proudly announcing this on its site. This “True” Octa Core solution, as MediaTek claims, utilizes the full potential of all the eight cores for a seemingly better performance and even better battery life management.

Intex Technologies has launched the Cloud X3, the company’s latest entry-level Android smartphone. It has a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, dual SIM support and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Intex has partnered with MediaTek for the launch and the smartphone is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 chip that has integrated Wi-Fi, FM, GPS and Bluetooth.
