Nokia N86 vs N82 Picture Gallery

After having brought to you a camera comparison between Nokia’s newest camera flagship, the N86 8MP, and its old sibling, the Nokia N82, today we show you a side by side comparison of the 2 device’s hardware and design. As always, you can click on the thumbnails to access the full resolution photos.

Sizewise, the N86 8MP is chubbier and shorter than the N82, due to its dual-slider form factor, as opposed to the N82’s candybar design. The materials used on the N86 are nice classy plastic with metal, and covered with non-scratchable glass on the front, whereas the N82 uses the old cheap and shiny black plastics that we saw on the N81, N96, N78, N85…

Nokia Booklet 3G to be on sale from October 22 for $299

The much anticipated Nokia Booklet 3G will be available on AT & T from October 22, which is a few days from now. The device will be available at a introductory price of $299.99 with an AT&T Data Connect plan two-year activation at $60/month. Nokia Booklet 3G will be sold at all Best Buy locations in US and as well as at 50+ Best Buy Mobile standalone stores across USA.

Palm Pre Released on O2 UK!

The Apple iPhone competitor from Palm has finally arrived in the UK. The Palm Pre is now available in the UK on the O2 network.

You can get the Palm Pre on a two year contract for 34.26 pounds (56 US $) a month. The plan allows unlimited data, 600 talktime minutes and 500 text messages. I am one lucky guy, I know that, I get to attend the premier events around the world when it comes to mobile technology and I get to play with the latest and greatest devices.  Sometimes devices I’m not at liberty to talk about for months.  So when I was at CTIA last week in San Diego I made sure to take a look at the N900.  My short introduction to it really hooked me.  I’m a big fan of HootSuite, a web based Twitter app and I was happily shocked when Chanse Arrington got it running on his N900 without any hitch or tweaking of settings during the GoMo News Blender.  I mean I was really impressed.  Then the next day Joe Gallo had 24 apps running simultaneously on his N900.  That’s not a typo, he really had 24 going. Nokia brings Qt port to Maemo5 , shows it off on N900 on Video

Nokia has officially announced the Qt port to Maemo5 Linux and shows it off on Video using the eagerly awaited Nokia N900 .Qt comes to Nokia from the  acquisition of Norwegian company Trolltech back in 2008 and it was formerly referred to as Qtopia.Enjoy the video after the jump.

Sony Ericsson Satio Released to Buyers!

The long wait for Sony Ericsson’s flagship smart-phone is now over. The Sony Ericsson Satio is now available for purchase on various online retail stores including Amazon.

The phone is not yet known to have hit the street shops yet but it should do so very soon.

It’s been a long time since the announcement so here’s a reminder of the Satio’s features:

  • 112 x 55 x 13 mm, 126grams
  • 3.5″ TFT Touchscreen with 360*640 Resolution, Accelerometer
  • 128MB Internal Memory, micro-SD Card Slot
  • GPRS, HSCSD, HSDPA, 3G, EDGE, DLNA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB

The phone costs around 500 Euros excluding shipping. The price should lower in a few weeks so if you can wait, then wait. The phone is expected to hit India by end of this year.
