Nokia is still one of the most loved brands in India, and Indians are quite music loving people. Nokia understood that massive business opportunity few years back and before the competition, launched Nokia OVI Music services globally and in India. Back then Nokia was the only mobile manufacturer invested heavily in Entertainment and Music services in India. Yes, world had Apple iTunes but in India Nokia Ovi Music was the only service with massive tie-ups with majority of Music Labels, Artists, Copyright Owners, etc. Nokia Dropped the OVI branding and their Music services renamed to Nokia Music. Nokia Music is now MixRadio, offers personalized radio with PlayMe

Remember the Nokia Music app and service that launched along with the first Lumia devices? Well, that’s now rechristened as Nokia MixRadio as the service has evolved from an a-la-carte store to a streaming service, most notably with its Windows app. The Mix Radio experience is more in line with current demands of music discovery and free streaming, like Pandora and Spotify. Well, technically, it requires a music unlimited subscription that comes with most of the Lumia devices that are on sale today, but you get the personalized radio service now, which aims to be much better than the Mix Radio offering that was offered before.

Nokia introduces Music+ low-cost subscription service for Lumia devices

Nokia has announced Music+, a low-cost music subscription service for Lumia users that would offer high quality music with infinite skips, unlimited downloads and lots more. Nokia introduced Nokia Music, free music streaming service for US customers, but it had limited features. The  new Music+ service would offer music downloads at 3.99 Euros per month. Nokia has launched Nokia Music service for Lumia devices in USA. This would let them stream music from a suite of over 150 exclusive playlists. It offers music from different genres that are created by global artists such as Lana Del Rey, Lady Gaga and Rihanna. It is an ad-free service that doesn’t require any registration or subscription. Nokia Music with Mix Radio coming to Lumia devices in India in Q3 2012

Nokia has announced that Nokia Music with Mix Radio would come to India for Lumia devices in 3rd Quarter of 2012. The Nokia Music lets you purchase music from the phone and is similar to the Nokia Music on the Nokia Asha series of phones. The Mix Radio is a free service that lets you listen to radio stations customized for different regions and genres. Nokia has launched the DRM-free Comes with Music Service in China and we are excited about it as this might mean that the service will be launched in India really soon now. China is the world’s biggest mobile market and India is the 2nd largest mobile market. Nokia Comes with Music will be available on 8 devices including the X6 32GB , Nokia X6 16GB, Nokia 5230, Nokia 5330, Nokia 5800w, Nokia 6700s, Nokia E52 and Nokia E72i. starting at EUR 140. This means that users can download unlimited music on their Nokia phones.
