Reports indicate that Facebook might be in talks to buy Whatsapp in order to enhance its mobile credentials. Facebook’s main source of mobile income is from ads and it reported recently that 14% of it’s advertising revenue in Q3 2012 came from its mobile division.

Apple iPad mini WiFi+Cellular Version Unboxing

Here is a quick unboxing of the Apple iPad Mini WiFi+Cellular version. We had already unboxed the WiFi only version few days ago and here we have the Cellular version.We like to simply call as iPad mini 3G or 4G or even the iPad mini with LTE. Facebook Photo Sync feature starts rolling out for Android, iPhone and iPad apps

 

 

Facebook started testing Photo Sync feature for their Android, iPhone and iPad apps back in August. Now they have started rolling out the feature to everyone. There is no app update for this feature, you just get a notification when you open the Facebook app to enable Photo Sync feature. This automatically uploads entire photos in your phone as you capture. You can also sync your entire phone photos, and you get 2GB of storage for it. The auto photo upload feature is already available on Google+ as instant upload and in Dropbox as Camera Upload. Nokia launches PhotoBeamer image sharing app for Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices

Nokia has launched PhotoBeamer app exclusively for Lumia phones (Lumia 820 and Lumia 920) running on Windows Phone 8. This app lets you to share images from the phone easily just by pointing the device on the QR code on photobeamer.com. This uses Scalado’s technology that was first released on PhotoBeamer iPhone back in May. After Nokia acquired Scalado, the team has worked hard to bring the app to Windows Phone 8 devices. Symantec has released Norton Mobile Security for iPhone and iPad. It lets users keep their device secure, recover a lost or stolen device and prevent strangers from accessing their information. Karbonn A15 Dual SIM Phone with 4-inch display, Android 4.0 now available for Rs. 5899

Karbonn A15, the company’s new Dual SIM Android Smartphone is now available from online retailer Saholic. It has a 4.0-inch (480 × 800 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Most of the features are similar to the A11 that was launched last month, but the A15 has just a 3MP Camera with Face Detection instead of a 5MP Auto Focus camera with Flash, and lacks a front-facing camera. LG Optimus G Review

You saw the unboxing of the LG Optimus G last month. Here is the complete review of the phone. The Optimus G is a joint effort from LG Mobile, LG Chem, LG Innotek and LG Display. LG’s launched their first quad-core Android Smartphone, the Optimus 4X HD powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 processor in India back in July, that even got a price cut last month. The Optimus G has a powerful Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. Even though the Xiaomi MI-2 was announced in China with a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, the Optimus G is the first global device to come with a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Camera at IFA, Berlin in August, that launched in India last week. You saw the unboxing of the Galaxy Camera recently. The Galaxy Camera is a Smart Camera that runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super Clear Touch LCD Display. Flipkart launches Flyte eBooks for Android

Flipkart has launched Flyte eBooks for Android. The company launched Flyte MP3 downloads earlier this year along with a Flyte MP3 Android app. The new Flyte eBooks for Android that lets you download eBook on your Android device from a collection of over 60,000 paid books and about 4000 free eBooks. You can sign in to your Flipkart account, add money to your wallet and start buying the book from the app or purchase it online. Unlike the Amazon’s Kindle format (.azw or .mobi), this uses Flipkart’s propitiatory format (.fkb). You can download each Flipkart eBook to a maximum of six devices, similar to Amazon Kindle books. Adblock Plus for Android released, Blocks ads in Mobile Browsers and Apps

Adblock Plus, popular ad-block extension / add-on on Firefox and Chrome is now available for Android. It blocks ads on most Apps and Browser over Wi-Fi even if you are not rooted. You need a rooted Android phone for ad blocking over 2G / 3G. It does not allow ads to be blocked on SSL encrypted websites. According to the Adblock site, the Android app only blocks ads Firefox and Opera browsers, but we tried it on the default Android browser and Chrome, and it worked fine. ZengaTV has updated the ZengaTV app for Android that brings new user interface (UI) with Social media integration and HD Live TV Streaming for select channels, which you can enable from settings. AnTuTu Benchmark 3.0 for Android released, brings new UI, better performance and more

AnTuTu Benchmark app has been updated to version 3.0.1. AnTuTu Labs previewed the features of the latest app last week, now it is available for download from the Google Play. This brings new features including enhanced memory direct read and write tests, new 2D test with better 2D rendering, OpenGL ES 2.0 for 3D Test, Redesigned and adjustment app UI and more. Most of the Benchmarking apps have been updated recently. Rightware launched Browsermark 2.0 few weeks back, and Vellamo 2.0 was launched few months back. 3D Mark is expected next month.
