RedBus.in app for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 gets a limited time offer for tickets

RedBus.in is one of India’s most popular bus ticket booking and reservation service, which incidentally released apps for the Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 platforms earlier, with a great Metro UI based experience. But now, they have not only released updates to these apps, but also added a bit of an exclusive offer to them. With the RedBus.in app on Windows 8, you get Rs. 75/- off on a ticket, if it costs more than Rs. 500/-, till December 31st, 2013. Considering this is the holiday season when a lot of bookings are done, this seems like a perfect match for Windows 8 users wanting to book tickets for most destinations in India.

Nokia Lumia 1520 vs Sony Xperia Z Ultra Hands On

The final Nokia World event at Abu Dhabi was an eventful one for Windows Phone fans as Nokia finally introduced a phablet. Nokia Lumia 1520 will be known as the first Windows Phone phablet, the first Windows Phone 8 smartphone to feature a quad-core processor and the first Windows Phone device to come with a 1080p display. Nokia Lumia 1520 vs Nokia Lumia 1020 Hands On

Nokia’s Abu Dhabi event saw the launch of quite a few phones although the company is all set to be taken over by Microsoft. Among the various phones launched, the star of the show was Nokia Lumia 1520. It is the first in quite a few terms – first Windows phablet, first 1080p Windows Phone, first quad-core Windows phone and first PureView device with a 20MP sensor. Nokia had previously announced their Lumia 1020 back in June with a dual-core processor and a 41MP camera, but in a more compact form-factor.

Huawei Ascend G700 and G610 now available in India for Rs. 16500 and Rs. 12499

Huawei Ascend G700 and the Ascend G610 that appeared on official website last week, is now available from online retailer Infibeam in India. The Ascend G700 packs a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The G610 has a 5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) IPS display, 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Both these phones are powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processors, pack a 2150 mAh battery and run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Huawei Ascend P6 was expected to launch in India back in August, but it was delayed, now the phone is available from online retailer Infibeam in India. It was announced back in June and packs a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display based on in-cell LCD screen technology with responsive touch that works even when wearing gloves, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) with new Emotion UI. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, F2.0 aperture and 4cm macro and 1080P full HD video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with auto facial-enhancing capabilities for self portraits. Nokia has finally announced the Lumia 1520, the company’s latest flagship smartphone at an event in Abu Dhabi. It packs a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD capacitive touch screen ClearBlack display with Gorilla Glass 2 protection, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Windows Phone 8 with the latest GDR3 update and Lumia Black update. It packs a 20-megapixel autofocus rear camera with new oversampling technology,ZEISS optics with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), 2x lossless zoom dual LED flash, 1080p video recording 30 fps. It also has Nokia Camera app that combines the Smart, Pro and Video modes. It comes with 32GB of internal memory and a micro SD card support.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) (SM-P601) in India. It was announced at the IFA 2013 last month as an upgrade to the last year’s Note 10.1 that was launched in India as Galaxy Note 800. It packs a 10.1-inch (2560×1600 pixels) TFT LCD display, powered by a 1.9 GHz quad-core Exynos 5 Octa processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with Samsung TouchWiz UI on top. It has a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with a S Pen stylus with a lot of features such as S Note(Easy Chart), S Planner and Air Command: Action Memo, Scrapbook, Screen Write, S Finder, Pen Window.

BBM to resume roll out to iPhone and Android today but new users will be on a waiting list

It’s back. The BlackBerry Messenger, fondly known as BBM faced some intense server loads thanks to a pre-release leak on Android, which forced the company to postpone the much awaited launch. After a long wait, it looks like the company is finally up to speed and ready to launch on both iOS and Android today, resuming where it left off on iOS and completely starting afresh on Android. According to the official blog, you should be hopefully seeing the BBM app popup on the App Store, Google Play and the Samsung Apps Store any time in the next few hours. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Samsung was the first company to introduce a 5inch+ phablet and they started it off with their original Samsung Galaxy Note. Initially, the Samsung Galaxy Note was not well received by the critics, but soon the adoption of the big display device among the users made it a hit. Samsung followed up the success of the original Samsung Galaxy Note with the second version – Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was launched at IFA 2012 and went on to become one of the greatest hits for Samsung. After having given back to back successful Galaxy Note products, Samsung was expected to come up with another champion of a phablet at IFA 2013 and Samsung did not disappoint. Samsung announced the third iteration of their Note series at IFA 2013 in Berlin – Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Being the successor of a very successful Samsung Galaxy Note 2, the Galaxy Note 3 had a lot of promises to fulfill. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is an update over the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in almost all the terms and lets check out if it is worth the upgrade.
